Big shout out to Craig and West Yorkshire fire service today.
When I was approached by Rachel regarding the Town Hall flag , I was honest and said we keep replacing but they just rip in the wind . I myself put one on the front railings for the King’s coronation just so that we had something up.
The councillors offered to buy a new flag for us but there is no way it can be put up from inside as the staircase to the tower isn’t safe. I approached Craig who is a relative of mine and part of West Yorkshire fire service who sorted it all out for us and today we have our flag flying high again .
Thank you to Knottingley councillors for providing the flag and especially the West Yorkshire fire service team for putting it up for us .

The area around the town hall will be very busy this weekend. All visitors have been reminded to park with consideration for our neighbours . Any issues with parking please pop inside and head towards the kitchen to speak to one of our helpers .
