Lamport Hall Lamport Hall is a hidden gem in the heart of Northamptonshire
A Grade I historic house & gardens Group bookings are welcomed.

Lamport Hall is a hidden gem in Northamptonshire boasting wonderful gardens, stunning architecture, an impressive art and furniture collection and a full calendar of events. The Hall is Grade I listed and is of great architectural importance, showcasing work by John Webb and Smith of Warwick. From 1560 to 1976, the Hall was home to the Isham family, one of the oldest families in Northamptonshire.

As a result, the collections have remained virtually untouched throughout the centuries providing a captivating snapshot of life in a country house. Come and see the treasures collected by Sir Thomas Isham on his Grand Tour as a newly inherited teenage Baronet, witness the architectural changes made by two feisty wives in the 19th century, and meet Lampy, he first and only surviving garden gnome to be imported from Germany in 1846. Following a period of neglect and misfortune in the 20th century an impressive restoration project was undertaken. Lamport Hall is now back to the former glory it deserves and is just waiting to be explored. The Hall is also a unique setting for weddings and corporate events. Many events are held at the Hall throughout the year including craft and antiques fairs, the Festival of Country Life, study days, and our Gardening Academy. OPENING TIMES 2022
