Splat Messy Play is the 'go to' provider of messy play classes, parties, and events for hundreds of children across the UK. Our weekly classes are designed for children aged six months and upwards, and have been specifically developed to encourage each child to learn, discover, explore and create. With small, intimate classes, Splat Messy Play prides itself on its ability to provide an environment

SLIME DROP IN SESSION - TODAY

I am looking forward to being at Kidz and Kin this morning for a drop in slime session.

This session will be for age approx 3 to 5 year olds. It will be £4 per slime and I will be on hand to support each child through the slime making process.

We've been very busy!!

With the help of my mum this afternoon, I have managed to:

Measure and bag 15 pasta cones
Colour, measure and bag 24 rice cones
Measure and pot 20 Gelli Baff portions
Make, measure and bag 32 playdough cones
Measure and bag 8 sand cones
Make, measure and bag 12 coconut soil cones
Print and laminate 32 playdough mats
Print 32 instructions and ingredients sheets

I just need to sort it into individual trays and wrap ready to sell.

These will be on sale tomorrow at Carnwath Show but if you want to order one for collection from one of my classes next week (you don't need to be booked into the class) then please let me know. The kits are priced between £12 and £14 and I have the following available

Tomorrow's Splat Jobs themed Mixed Age class in Carluke at 9.30 has quite a few spaces left in it.

Do you have a little one age approx. 1 to 5 that you are struggling to keep entertained during the questionable Scottish summer? Why not come along and give us a try? Or revisit us if you have been along before?

We had lots of doctors and artists in the house today for day 1 of our Splat Jobs classes in Bathgate.

Don't forget tomorrow's class in Wishaw will be held in our new venue at St Aidans Catholic Church in Coltness.

MESSY PLAY KITS

I'm going to be making up some messy play kits that will be available to buy on Saturday at Carnwath Show. If anyone not attending the show would like to buy a kit please let me know. They will be available for collection from any of my classes or delivery can be arranged for a small fee.

They will be priced between £12 and £14 depending on which kit you choose.

The themes are as follows:

Under the Sea
Dinosaur
Safari
Unicorn
Construction

Contents vary slightly between each kit but each kit contains 3 or 4 messy materials (such as playdough and a playdough mat, coloured rice, pasta shapes, cloud dough, Gelli Baff) plus some themed toys and some also have a little craft.

Colours and contents may differ slightly from those pictured.

These are perfect for keeping the kids entertained over the summer holidays.

Since our theme this week is Splat Jobs I thought it would be good to see some future careers.

Emily would be a palaeontologist as she is obsessed with dinosaurs and Joshua would be a Miner as he loves Minecraft.

We had lots of fun at Bumblebee Sports Edinburgh South West and Corstorphine's Holiday Club where we had 40 children each making a successful slime to take home with them.

Myself and Emily had lots of fun on Wednesday providing the messy play activities for Home-Start Edinburgh's fun day. I didn't manage to get any pictures of my setup but I did get a picture of Emily's fantastic face painting.

The families seemed to enjoy the activities and we were very lucky with the weather (albeit the wind kept growing away the crazy soap 🤣).

We had a very busy start to the Summer Term today in Bathgate.

Thanks to everyone who came along.

The gloop was definitely a firm favourite today in both classes.

Don't forget the new term at Wishaw has been postponed by one week so no class on tomorrow. Emails/WhatsApp have been sent to everyone booked on.

Carluke will be on as normal on Thursday.
