Leah and Max's gorgeous lake district wedding just over a week ago.
The weather was kind to us so the ceremony at was able to take place outside with meadows of summer flowers to compliment that amazing view.

A summer garden wreath for a much loved nana.
Sweet peas, dahlias, nigella, hydrangea,larkspur, nepeta, stocks, Statice and campanula with Lavender and lemon balm added for their gorgeous scent.

Yesterday's gorgeous wedding. Friday weddings always throw me! I now think it's Sunday.
I managed a few quick photos before we set off and just one at the after I'd finished the summer meadows there.
It was a sunny day too so Leah and Max were able to have their ceremony outside with those lythe valley views as a backdrop. Hope everyone had a fabulous day.
Can't wait to see the professional pics.

The new flower stall is here! It needs painting and signage added, but it's up and running for now.
Please be careful lifting out the bunches as there isn't quite as much height as the other and I wouldn't want you to damage the longer stems in your posy.
The honesty box is still in place as you'll see from the next image.
Prices are still the same for now, but I'll be adding larger bouquets as the weeks go by.

I've just managed to rescue the delphiniums before the rain and wind got to them!
I'm so pleased that I timed them perfectly to flower for !

More flowers images from Heather and Luke's gorgeous wedding at on Friday. I had team Isla and me (Mike and Connie) on hand to help put everything in place and stay for the quick turn around moving aisle meadows to frame the top table and adding the table flowers. No pics of the bridal bouquet though!

This week was a big one for me as I prepared my first wedding of the year in my new workshop! Lots of frothy gorgeous seasonal flowers. We filled dainty vases, created meadows for the aisle and tables and created huge milk churns filled with Ammi, foxgloves and delphiniums. (Outside for those, my workshop's not that big 😊)
Can't wait to show you the venue photos.
I feel like a proper wedding florist now.

We've said goodbye to the tulips and are welcoming some light and airy summer meadow flowers.
Allium, sweet Williams, nigella, orlaya, cornflower and sweet rocket. All Lancashire grown (not by me, sadly, apart from the rocket)

The stem of limonium is from further afield which I've bought in to add to some large wreaths I'm working on.

I'm always delighted when I'm asked to make a wreath...

This one was created to celebrate the life of a lady who loved to cook. I added rosemary, lemon balm, mint and bay to a selection of seasonal flowers including peonies, nigella, stocks, sweet Williams, hydrangea and astrantia. A lot of the varieties were requested by the family and I hope lots of happy memories were relived from it's gorgeous scent.

British wedding flowers...

This was Mel's brief for her wedding almost three years ago (how did that happen!)
100,% British flowers were used to create all of the designs at the venue. Some grown on our own small plot along with others from local growers.

We have a few dates left over summer 2024 if local, natural, seasonal flowers is what you would like on your wedding day.

Colourful little bunch of our home grown tulips heading out today. We don't have many this year as something in the poly tunnel has been snacking on them! Grrrrr 🐀

I was very honoured to be asked to create a special funeral design this week.
After the service the flowers were to be given away to the family. I went for a rambling wreath style display made of 15 individual posies placed in a grid inside the wreath with a dainty tied posy to sit alongside.
Spring flowers including narcissus, anemones and freesia along with a touch of dried lavender which held a special memory.
