I will be at North Petherwin Christmas Craft Fair on Wednesday 15th November with Christmas Wreaths for sale and also taking orders for Wreaths to be collected/delivered during December.
I have a few spaces left to book on the Friday wreath making workshop so please come and say hello and book in if you are free.

That's it!...last flowers of the season made into bouquets ready to be delivered.

A sincere thank you to everyone who has brought bouquets, given me the honour to provide flowers for your wedding or just shared/liked my posts, it all helps to grow my business that started out from a little idea to grow local fresh cut seasonal flowers.
This year has surpassed my expectations, I am already planning next year's flowers and had a couple of wedding enquiries.

With the weather now starting to turn quite autumnal I think this week will be my last week for flowers this year.
I still have a couple of spaces for bouquets between now and the weekend so please message if you want to grab one before the end of the season.

I'm starting to get the beds ready to plant spring bulbs and making leaf mulch to feed next year's flowers.

Lots of people are starting to advertise Christmas Wreath Workshops now.
I have 2 dates available: 8th December at 7pm and 10th December at 2pm both held in Altarnun Village Hall, further details to follow.
It still feels quite early to be thinking about Christmas but make a note in your diary if you're interested or send a message/email and I can book you in.
The price is £30/pp which includes all materials and refreshments.

I have been busy seed sowing and transplanting seedlings yesterday, also getting the flower beds ready for winter.

Today we spent the morning out moor checking the cows on the quad bikes in the beautiful autumn sunshine and had a lovely afternoon with very special friends.

It's October and the flowers keep coming!...

With the weather so warm the Dahlia's are in their element, hopefully they will continue producing blooms until the weather turns colder.

These are some photos of bouquets I have made up this week.
I am still able to make bouquets so please message me to place your orders.

Many of the mid summer flowers have finished, so I'll be clearing the beds this weekend and getting them ready for the winter.

In the meantime, I just wanted to let you know that I am holding 2 wreath making workshops on 8th December at 7pm and also one on 10th December at 2pm both in Altarnun Village Hall.

Being asked to provide Dahlia's to who is an amazing wedding florist for an elopement was so exciting.

These are the photos Simon sent me of the beautiful Urn he created using my Dahlia's in the Shell House at the hotel.

Between 1810-1816 the Shell House was built by the family who then owned Engsleigh to display fossils, crystals, minerals and shells.

What a beautiful place to have a wedding.

Thank you Simon for trusting me to provide you with the flowers.

I have lots of Dahlia's flowering again now after all being picked last weekend for the wedding.
Even though the weather has been wet and windy they are looking lovely.

This bouquet was delivered yesterday for a wedding anniversary.

The flower crown was worn all day and lasted until 3am!

A flower crown and buttonhole I made for today's bride and groom.

I sent out 6 buckets of flowers for friends and family to decorate the church and venue on Friday.
Today I delivered the bridal bouquet and flower crown, 14 buttonholes, 6 Bridesmaids bouquets and a flower girl posy.

Congratulations Dan and Megan, hope you had a lovely day!

A beautiful 25th wedding anniversary gift bouquet I delivered earlier this week.
It was actually for one of my best friends from her husband, but it's so lovely when friends and family trust and support my little business.

SOLD OUT!

Never before have I been sold out of flowers!
With a few bouquet orders still to complete this week and my 2nd wedding to do flowers for at the weekend, along with a busy week on the farm preparing our rams to be sold I am unable to take any more bookings until after the weekend.

Today's medium bouquet was delivered this morning.

I'll update my page again next week when the next set of flowers have started, advance booking welcome for the remainder of September.

Growing flowers for someone's wedding was something that had never entered my head, but this year I have been asked by 2 couples and although I felt nervous about saying yes I'm so glad I did!

I hope Kits and Emma's wedding is amazing at The Fowey Harbour Hotel today.
It was certainly looking beautiful when I left yesterday.

Sometimes you have to push yourself outside your comfort zone to grow.
I'm honoured to have the opportunity - Thank you!

I've been a bit quiet recently because I have a lot of exciting projects coming up during September.

The 1st of these projects is taking on a new allotment...

This time last year I decided to 'scale up' the flower growing from my little patch in the orchard by taking on my Aunty-in-laws walled garden and doubling my growing space.
Everyone has been so kind in ordering flowers that I have cut nearly every flower that has bloomed.
With that in mind I have decided to increase the growing space again by taking on an allotment (1st picture).
Luckily I have the cutest work colleagues here (2nd picture) at West Kernick Tea Garden, although it could be dangerous with all the tea, cake and ice lollies available just across the field.
Now to start planning what to grow next year!.....

A couple of medium bouquets I delivered yesterday.

The flowers really aren't enjoying all the rain and lack of sunshine we are having at the moment, meaning they are very slow to bloom.
This July has apparently been the wettest on record!

At the weekend I was talking to my friend Brooke (Instagram), she is finding that her Bee's aren't happy at the moment either.
She said it is due to the lack of flowers/pollen meaning the bees aren't able to make as much honey as normal due to the bad weather, because of that the bees are becoming grumpy as they are protecting their honey.
I was lucky enough to buy a jar of her lovely honey before she sold out from her last harvest.
She is hoping to possibly get another small harvest before the end of summer but she wants to leave plenty for her bee's over the winter.
Brooke has only been keeping bees for a year but her knowledge is unbelievable .... Bee's are complicated little characters!
I found talking to her fascinating but I think I'll stick to growing flowers!
