We're on the hunt for some hardworking legends to help us deliver some awesome events this year🎪

Requirements
• Have a Driving Licence (sadly public transport doesn't follow w3w directions!)
• Know your way around an event site and can lend a hand with fencing and barriers
• Have PLI
• Having towing experience and a tachograph card (preferred, and the dream situation but not essential)
• Local to Devon or Cornwall

We're proud to be a local business supplying to events in both Devon & Cornwall, and we're looking for proper grafters to join our team this year. We are already lucky to have such amazing crew that work with us, so you'll be joining a team that has so many skills and a right laugh.

So, it's Blue Monday - the dullest Monday of all the Mondays (cheers for that January). But it ain't all that bad, especially in dreamy Devon & Cornwall.

Whilst fencing and barriers may not be the most prettiest things to look at in the world, with backdrops like this on our installs, it's easy to see why we love what we do.

As the year comes to a close, we want to extend a huge and heartfelt thank you to all our incredible customers and suppliers for your hard work, trust and support throughout this year.

A special thank you also goes out to all our amazing crew and freelancers. Your dedication and talent may go unnoticed by others, but the success of every show is a testament to your incredible skills and work ethic and it would not be what it is without all of you. We truly cannot thank you enough for all you do for us.

This year has been a difficult year for our industry, facing the challenges of seeing many events have there last years trading and budgets getting even tighter. As a proud local business and supplier please know that we see you, we hear you and we're here to support you. Unlike national suppliers we understand the difficulties that our industry goes through and we remain committed to doing everything we can to stand by all of you.

We have had an absolute pleasure supplying both our services and equipment to this event over the last couple of years and truly gutted that this year is the last show for Cornwall Volkswagen Jamboree...

But this is also the harsh reality of the events industry at the moment particularly down in this part of the country where various small events are struggling to survive. A number of factors including the rising cost of living, year on year price increase and VAT on ticket sales all contribute to making it that little bit harder for event organisers/managers.

What we want to say is as much as we are a supplier, we are here to support all our customers. We understand how circumstances can change so if you need to rework costs, just chat to us. It is within our hearts to make sure we can still keep putting these gigs on as well as helping each other out, and using those small local businesses where possible.

Its always hard to find words when you've just been a part of 2 spectacular events...

During the peak season it's like a marathon of back-to-back events for us. But then there's that week when we are racing up and down the county to be a part of 2 amazing events that land on the same weekend. Last week was one of those adventures - supplying infrastructure, plant as well as installation,de-rig and event support services to 2 incredible event companies.

Explaining the events industry to people who are unaware of it can be a comparison to a rollercoaster ride.
It's all a bit bonkers, long days become the new norm, finding haribos and squashies in a passenger footwell can improve yours and the crews day drastically and dealing with unexpected twists and turns is just part of the adventure. But despite the chaos, its working with all the amazing suppliers,production and event management teams on site that really make it. The mucking together, helping one another regardless of job titles makes it feel like you've been working together as a team on these events for years and finishing the end of the day with a hug and a "looking forward to seeing you on the next one". Truth is that's the magic of this industry and why we're so passionate about what we do.

A mahoosive thank you to our crew last weekend, you absolutely smashed it and always amaze us.. its all down to you💙

Ground Protection Hire🌱

Being British, its practically ingrained in us to frequently discuss and grumble about the weather, especially now given the amount of rainfall we have had already this year which is why we want to talk about ground protection.

We hold and have access to a large selection of Groundmats available for hire as well as our team being able to install and dismantle. Whilst we recognise that groundmats aren't always the sole solution for preserving ground conditions, they do offer a temporary solution for both pedestrian traffic and vehicular movements.

As much as we are holding out for those brighter days, the unpredictability of the "Great British Summertime" is a constant reminder that preparation is key.

Lets talk about opening hours...🕣💡

As much as we all love a weekend or evening off, we know that working in the events industry, often means being available at "out of office" times. Although our operations don't run 24/7 throughout the year, we do provide support to our customers whenever they need us. From the outset we have embraced the understanding that our industry demands extend far beyond that traditional 8-5 office hours. Typically construction based hire companies charge clients for any work outside these hours. However as The Events Depot is a tailored event supplier we are happy to accommodate to our customers schedule and requirements.

You need your equipment delivering/collecting on a weekend? That's fine by us, we won't charge you a premium. You want to chat to us of an evening with concerns? Not a problem, you won't hear our voicemails.

Whilst we prioritise maintaining a healthy work-life balance and setting boundaries, we also know how important it is as a customer to have a point of contact no matter what the time of the day and to not be left in the dark🌙

This month we got to be apart of something special✨
