Summer has brought me to some amazing locations, meeting the best people and also a flurry of new followers to my little corner of the internet (yay you found me!) so I thought it was maybe time to make a wee appearance on the grid (it has been a while) made easier when the lovely send me some professional snaps doing what I love!

Okay, so, I am normally planted firmly behind the scenes (working my wedding magic!) but everyone around me has been encouraging me more and more to step out in the limelight and say hi - so (deep breath) here I am, hello!! I’m Rebecca/Bex a complete romantic, detail & design geek, introverted extrovert, food obsessed, Gilmore Girl watching (it is Autumn/Fall after all), tea drinking wedding planner in Scotland who believes that love is for everyone!

Anyone who knows me will know that I absolutely LOVE what I do! People say when you pursue your passion you will never work a day in your life and it is so true, my job rarely feels like actual work because I always have the most fun!! I feel incredibly lucky that lovely couples keep choosing me to be a part of their day and allowing me to wake up each day and do one of the best jobs in the world!

It’s the half way mark of 2024 wedding season for RBW! Final prep is done and currently getting ready to leave for a trip up north this weekend for a wedding - excited!!

|APRIL RECAP|

Anyone else feel like April passed by in a blink or is it just me? Happy 1st May!! (Not sure the weather got the memo though!)
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Looking back over the last month, it has definitely been a busy one, hence the super quiet grid. April 2024 has been filled with chats with lovely clients, oh so much planning, booking trips to far corners of Scotland for some epic destination weddings and lots of venue visits to some incredible locations (just look at this stunning bar at - I could share images of this place for days!) It has definitely been a fun month in my wee world of weddings! 🤍

|DESTINATION COUPLES|
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Did you know that destination weddings (couples who choose to get married in Scotland but do not live here) make up 75% of all my couples I’ve ever had the pleasure of working with?!
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
From London to LA, Sydney to Singapore and so many locations in between, I have worked with couples from across the world and across time zones - how lucky am I?! 🤍
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
How does that translate to helping you? Well, working with couples in different locations has become second nature to me, the way we plan together is slightly different than working with a couple that you can meet face to face regularly. Instead I need to be a destination couple’s eyes and ears, their feet on the ground here in Scotland and be able to translate these experiences to them virtually. How we collaborate and work while planning together must be easily accessible anywhere in the world. Plus being available in different time zones is also a must!

|PIPER|
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
If you are getting married here in Scotland (or want to add a Scottish element to your wedding elsewhere) you might be considering hiring a piper but wondering when you would add them in to your day. Here are my top 3 recommendations:
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
1. Guest Arrival - Have the piper prominently placed at the entrance to your ceremony location to play as your guests arrive. It is a lovely way to welcome them and from a practical stand point it let’s guests know where to go. (The sound of the bagpipes before a ceremony always gives me goosebumps!)
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
2. Post-Ceremony - Obviously you can have them play as you walk down the aisle (processional) or back up the aisle (recessional) but having them start to play as you and your new spouse exit your ceremony location means they can then lead you and your guest to your drinks reception.This works well because it’s super practical for moving your guests, (follow the leader anyone?!) allows for some amazing photos and who doesn’t love a wee parade?!

3. Dinner Entrance - All your guests have taken their seats for dinner and you are announced in to the room as the happy couple lead by your very own piper - it makes quite the entrance - trust me!

Are you starting to think about decor for your wedding? I love styling! 🤍 One of my top tips is to keep in mind the key areas that will be photographed. These will be the lasting memories of your day.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
One area that I love to focus on is your top table, or more specifically, what’s behind your top table. Your speeches are heavily photographed by both your photographer and your guests, a curated “backdrop” can really enhance those images. For B&B’s wedding we really focused on the stunning fireplace, perfectly situated behind their top table 🤍

Is there anything more powerful than an incredible group of women?! It is such a joy to witness women supporting each other, helping each other, empowering each other, loving each other. A bride and her best girls are such a gorgeous representation of that, unwavering love and support and on such an important day, these photos can’t help but put a smile on my face. 🤍

On a beautiful day in Tuscany...sorry I mean Scotland! Can you believe this is Scotland?! Sometimes our little corner of the world gets a bad rep when it comes to weather. It’s not always cloudy, windy and raining (the sun is literally streaming in the window just now!) Just sometimes you can feel like you’re in the Mediterranean, like on this gorgeous September day (yes, September!!) when G&R tied the knot at the stunning

Disclaimer: we always have a back up ceremony plan! We have helped lots of couples realise their outdoor ceremony dreams but we always like to make sure we have a wet weather alternative, just in case!

Totally obsessed with the dreamy yet elegant, summery vibes from B&C’s wedding tables in the garden of their gorgeous home in stunning Perthshire.

We loved every detail - from the navy silk ribbon, to the pastel taper candles to the wax seals on the place cards (bit of a worry when the glass marquee hit 40c during a mid-summer heatwave, quick evacuation to a cool spot till the sun moved saved the day!)
