I’m in full wedding proposal mode at the moment and it’s getting me excittttttted for our wedding season ✨ It’s another long one this year, looking likely to span from March - December 😯 I find it so encouraging seeing how many more people each year are choosing wedding dates beyond the obvious peak of summer. And not only that - but how many people are also keen to commit to the British-grown options available in that window. It’s not for the faint hearted rose-lover of course! 🌹🚫 Using truly seasonal blooms to dress a wedding venue isn’t the easiest, creative caps are compulsory 🧢👲🤓 But I love the challenge and every year we’re creating something completely unique for our couples 💖

Been doing sooooo much reflecting these last couple of weeks ☕️ The Christmas lead-up was such a fast paced whirlwind, and followed by a proper chunk of time off. It always means January is quite a weird but welcoming month of contrasts… in a nice way! 〰 I’ve been in a bit of an admin cave mostly with pockets of shop updates in between. This week is all about planning our 2024 workshop calendar which is very exciting! 🗓 Lots of experimenting with ideas I’ve had brewing for a lonnnng time. Happy New Year from team Little Garden 🎈🎉

What a wild one it’s been. It was literally a year ago today when I was avoiding going back to doing my emails 😅 And in doing so thought… what lighthearted fun job can I do to warm me back into work. So a little browse on Google and oh… a flower shop for sale 😅

The first month of enquiries was spent not taking the idea seriously. Fast forward to March 31st and I had keys in hand… wtf 😂 The shop was never part of a big master plan or strategy, it just kind of made sense at the time - and now here we are! 🏁 It hasn’t been easy 😳 but we’re running at 100mph and determined to make it work.

So for 2024… ooooh we have some lovely things to look forward to. Some stunnnnnning weddings ahead of us this year, especially lots of beautiful Spring dreams (mabes my fave wedding season?), as well as a whole host of new workshops and plenty more shop improvements.

We want to keep bringing you the loveliest flowery bits in all shapes and sizes - be it houseplants, garden tools, creative classes, or a new batch of sustainable flowers every week. 💐🌱

Thank you so much for your support - both returning customer and new faces. 💖 Every like, message, email, order, good word, and footstep into our shop really does mean THE world. Your wonderful comments, positive feedback, Google reviews and stunning wedding galleries are ALL appreciated more than you could possibly know, and accomplishing everything we have wouldn’t be possible without your love and support.

Little Garden’s 2021 summarised. I’m taking a couple of weeks off now to re-charge so thought I’d leave you with some flowery nostalgia from the amazing year we’ve had. I’m currently exploring a jungle on the other side of the world.. so the sight of British flowers remains a bit of a distant memory currently, but I’m very much looking forward to another wonderful season ahead!! A wrist corsage!! Yes, really! It’s so weird to say that it has literally been YEARS since I made one of these.. until yesterday!!! ✨💫 We had a super mini micro wedding which really was such a joy to work on. Spring wedding flowers really are such a delight, so it really is a shame they will be few and far between this year. But working on this mini one yesterday felt like such a treat. Thank you Emma & Marti and congratulations!! 😬👰🏼🤵🏻👶🏻💗 more pictures soon.. 😘😘

Bouquets with meaning. This one was an absolute stand out from late Spring this year. Stocks and Lilac, the fragrance was incredible. It’s such a pleasure to be able to help when words just aren’t enough 💫💕

Dance around and make a bouquet 😁💃🏼🌞🌺 I am feeling truly blessed to still be working with flowers right now. We’re still having lots of lovely heartwarming orders coming in and it’s so wonderful to be able to help. Here’s a lil speedy video from back in March when I was making a colourful and cheery wedding bouquet. It was probably the last one I’ll make for some time, but what a pleasure it was 🥰😊

FINALLY 😀😀 do you remember what seems like forever ago when I told you about our lovely barn and how we’ve been re-purposing it into a workshop space and rented rooms... well we’re really getting there now! This summer I have been using my workroom for all the lovely weddings but everything has always been a bit half finished. But in preparation for our wreath classes there’s been a few jobs done here and there and suddenly I’m finally moving into the space properly. It’s so fun! SHELVES!!! And still... A SINK!!!! And also........ SPACE!!! All such luxury features in my lovely little sauna room 😁😁 I am still properly sorting through everything and finding homes for stuff, but today I tidied some of my dried collection (this is probably about half of it 😳), and started to make the place pretty. I will post a photo of the finished shebang as I did a few more bits and bobs after this and I’m still working my way around the room. So more photos soon! 🕺🏻🕺🏻

I’m still readjusting to the season, how is it mid November already?! 😵 Some of the big garden jobs are finally getting done, bulb planting, mulching, harvesting a billion fallen apples 😅 Ill share some updates on my story today. Here’s a biggen I made not too long ago for a lovely customer, before that frost came. I hung onto that summer colour palette for as long as possible!!
