Summer in Lee two amazing days combining a Market, Funfair, Music and Pirates all on the seafront. Summer Sounds Music Festival is back for 2023 .

Picking up on last years event and the great events previously organised by Trevor Ricketts, the music festival is back over the weekend of the 20th and 21st August and will be held on the promenade. There will be an array of eclectic music being performed with our ‘Lively Saturday’ 10.30 till 22.00 and ‘Easy Sunday’ 11.00 till 21.00. There will some other surprises as well during the weekend! mer Sounds is in aid for two amazing charities; Children with Cancer UK and Autism Hampshire, which saw over £2000 being raised for the chosen charities. In addition to the music, we have the Summer Market over the 2 days with around 25 stalls, the Summer Fun Fair is back from the 12th through to the 20th August. It will be great to see the John Searle Funfair back for all the family to come and enjoy. With opening times being 12noon till 21.00 on weekdays and till 22.00 on the weekend. (Times may vary) and we see the introduction of Summer Pirates with Captain Greybeard! All is designed to bring some fun & entertainment to our coastal village for a short period during the summer which will give our retail and hospitality a boost to support their businesses. We had a fantastic Summer in Lee 2024 a couple of weekends ago and with every one’s efforts; and there’s a big thank you to everyone who supported the event weekend and we’ve been able to raise over £3,000.00 for Children with Cancer UK, which is really tremendous and our late dear Trevor will be very pleased with that. We still have funds coming in so we’ll be able to confirm the final amount that’s being presented to CWCUK soon.

Summer in Lee will be back for 2025 over the 15-17 August so get the dates in the diary and let’s have another amazing weekend here on the seafront in Love Lee on the Solent.

Summer in Lee is here and what a great evening we had with our DJ set on the beach which an amazing sunset to help.

Thank you to all who came down and enjoyed the tunes, the beer and food and we look forward to two more days starting tomorrow with the Children’s pirates fancy dress disco from 10am 🏴‍☠️🎶 as we start our fundraising for Children with Cancer UK. Remember it’s all free to come along and enjoy the entertainment.

Summer in Lee is happening this weekend and for the event to take place the following car parks will be either partially or fully closed; the required closures incur charges, which Montserrat Events pay and the use has been fully approved & agreed by Gosport Borough Council Safety Advisory Group (SAG).

- Flower Building car park will be fully closed from 00.01 Friday 16th through till Sunday 18th 23.59 or sooner.
- Marine Parade W1 car park will be partially closed from 00.01 Saturday 17th through till Sunday 18th 23.59 or sooner.

Beach Road and Elmore car parks are fully open so is all of Marine Parade road parking. Hopefully the council may open up the grass headland for additional parking by the Beach Road car park if required.

If you live close by please look to walk / cycle down to the event. The weather is looking fabulous so hopefully the event will be busy with many visitors over the weekend.

I think it’s safe to say that the weather for Summer in Lee this weekend is looking fabulous, which is great to see.

With the Friday evening looking superb, ‘Beats on the Beach’ - Summer Sounds DJ set will be happening from 7pm through to 10pm*.

The bar from 32 Events will be open so come on down and enjoy the sunset down on the beach at Love Lee on the Solent with some amazing tunes coming from our DJ on The Smile Stage located by the side of the arcade.

Weather is looking promising for this coming weekend when Summer in Lee is back on the seafront here in Love Lee on the Solent.
With the forecast we’re go for ‘Beats on the Beach’ a Summer Sounds DJ set Friday night between 7pm till 10pm on The Smile Stage, hopefully with an awesome sunset.

Summer in Lee over the Saturday and Sunday has the Smile Emporium with 100 stalls being with us over the two days of items to buy and food and drink to take the thirst and hunger away. There’s the John Searle funfair, Believe A Bubble, Pirates with Captain Greybeard and a fantastic line up of Music with the following performing:

Summer in Lee is back for its 8th year where we have a two day event of Music wrapped around pirates, emporium and a funfair all in aid of fund raising for Children with Cancer UK. The event was originally started in 2016 by Trevor Ricketts who sadly passed away in February; so to remember the great man he was, there will be a tribute to him over the weekend!
