Summer in Lee
ChaCha stroll to a bit of Jazz Avenue
Summer in Lee is back for its 8th year where we have a two day event of Music wrapped around pirates, emporium and a funfair all in aid of fund raising for Children with Cancer UK.
The event was originally started in 2016 by Trevor Ricketts who sadly passed away in February; so to remember the great man he was, there will be a tribute to him over the weekend!
Get the dates of 16th & 18th August in your diary to come and join us on the seafront here in Lee on the Solent. We look forward to seeing you there.

KEY FACTS and Frequently Asked Questions.
- When is the festival taking place?
'Lively Saturday' 20th August 2022 10:30am - 11pm
'Easy Sunday' 21st August 2022 11am - 9pm
The festival will take place on the shore/promenade opposite Pier Street.
- Will there be any road closures?
Unlike Lee Beacon 2022 and Lee Victory Festival there are NO road closures for this event. Please be careful of pedestrians crossing the road.
- Where can I park?
All car parks will be open as usual. Only a handful of spaces will be closed to provide access. The best place to aim for is the Beach Road Car Park (PO13 9FR ///tunnel.camps.guess) which will have overflow in operation on the grass. Please make sure to Pay and Display and remember the new roadside meters on Marine Parade are a different ticket.
- Is it just music?
Whilst the local acts playing on The Smile Stage will be the main focus there will also be a Summer Market with over 20 stalls from local businesses, a licensed bar, food and a Fun Fair.
- What does it cost?
The music festival is entirely free. We will be collecting for charities and towards future events separately if you wish to leave a donation in appreciation. The fun fair, bar and stalls are will charge at their own rates.
- Are there toilet facilities?
The public toilets in Marine Parade Car Park are closest to the festival. It includes a radar key accessible toilet. We will provide additional portaloos.
- What about accessibility?
The event will be as step free as possible. Blue badge holders will be able to use the usual car parks and on-street parking.
You may wish to try to get a space in the smaller Marine Parade Car Park (PO13 9LY ///weds.posed.author) and Flower's Building Car Park (PO13 9LB ///foster.jokes.bleak). Even if you can't find a space these are the best place to drop/pick-up passengers as they are directly adjacent to the site.
