Wild winter.

A careful balance between the rawness of the season and luxury of sculptured organic form, abundant seasonal hellebore, daucus, seed pods and rich with the texture and depth of seasonal winter foliage and herbs.

The brief for this December wedding was festive but not Christmas. We finished with this textured arch with delicate velvet ribbons and soft candlelight, in a quiet knod to the approaching festive season.

A little BTS of our Christmas Window install last month, rich with the scent of seasonal foliage and herbs. With cypress and larch branches providing natures baubles and lichen providing the tinsel.

To me, there is nothing more beautiful, more satisfying than using the best of the season to create sustainable festive decor. Keep an eye on stories for home decor inspo later this week. But in the meantime, we are London bound for our Christmas soirée (whilst finalising proposals!)

There’s a profound beauty in gathering your most cherished people to celebrate your wedding—a moment steeped in the present, rich with joy and meaning. As the conversation softens and you glance across the room, the realisation that this singular gathering of everyone you love is a moment you may never experience again. It’s grounding, breathtaking, and brimming with joy—the very essence of why I love creating wedding tablescapes.

For D+H, we crafted sculptural meadows and cascading florals that wove between the guests, while tables were adorned with clouds of hydrangeas, artful ikebana arrangements, bespoke linens, ribboned fruits, and the glow of bright candlelight. Every detail was designed to elevate this fleeting, magical moment.

This was also the day that I realised that (controversially)…

We are not in the business of providing flowers for your wedding. We are in the business of designing wedding florals and a wedding aesthetic that is authentically you.

We partner with you and your suppliers to guide you through your wedding planning journey. We learn the details of your love story, the intricacies of your personalities, your personal style and intentions for the day and we weave those into the design of your wedding day.

A moment for Haley and her bouquet.

From our first meeting, Haley had expressed a desire to be distinctive; to have elements that “had not been seen before” and in no way reflect the usual seasonal palette of autumn.

We had spoken through a few options on the bridal bouquet but I’d had an idea on selecting just one flower from the wedding floral palette.

Nerine,a vibrant autumn flower that stands out from the usual seasonal golds with her a palette of pale and vibrant pinks. She represents joy, connection and affection which honestly could not be a more perfect fit for our bride.

So in an elegant twist to the usual format, we proposed a Nerine only bouquet: confident, delicate, strong and feminine, incorporating wired elements to offer a dynamic, asymmetric shape and movement across the mid-line of Haley’s gown.

The effect was exquisite.

Every now and then a couple comes along that moves you… both emotionally and creatively.

In the short time I got to know H&D, I learned their love story, the serendipitous circumstance of their meeting, and the light and shade of their beautiful personalities that made them so incredibly perfect for each other.

David, originally from the UK, had taken an opportunity to move with his job to the US on a short-term basis, after a difficult period. Before he was due to return, Covid hit, grounding all flights and placing him in lockdown. In the tough months that followed, David met Haley – a soul whose light shines so brightly, it is hard to ignore – he had found is heart and home in the US.

Together, we weaved the tapestry of their love story and intricacies of their personalities into the design of their day.

I will be forever grateful for the collaboration and creative licence to push our boundaries and design something that is uniquely you. For David & Haley, with love 🤍

Top tips for wedding tables…

One of my favourite spaces to design for is the wedding breakfast or wedding dinner. This is an opportunity to treat your most loved people to a considered and beautifully designed tablescape.

The joy I see from couples and guests delighting in a well-designed together table is honestly, euphoric!

This year we have worked on some incredible tablescapes, including floating aerial florals, immersive meadows weaved between guest tables and cascading top table flowers – all designed to create impact, wow guests and create beautiful photos.

At the most basic level, we will always recommend:

· Mixed florals at various heights to undulate amongst soft candlelight
· Focus your budget on creating single moments of impact to create awe.
· Forget spending money on favours and instead elevate tables with bespoke linens and dinnerware, personalised menu cards.

We regularly take time to chat through ideas with couples because we are so invested in creating unforgettable experiences for our couples and their guests.

I have a confession to make….

I adore intimate weddings!

This week I had the privilege of designing florals for an intimate ceremony of 37 guests; “a decadent delight for their most treasured people” that featured abundant florals, intimate ceremony spaces and beautifully designed indulgent tablescapes.

Don’t get me wrong, I love a good party but I couldn’t help but reflect on the other intimate ceremonies and how much more it provided:

1. More moments together as a couple. With less people to entertain, there is more time to enjoy time together.
2. There are moments of calm and stillness in a smaller ceremony that allow you to be more present, rather than the whirlwind of hosting with greater numbers of people.
3. Being more present, honours the ceremony and deeply connects you to the commitment you are making.
4. Leverage your wedding budget to indulge yourselves and your favourite people, by prioritising beautiful tablescapes and abundant florals, and extend the celebration over a weekend.

This ceremony pictured was two years ago and did all of those things. I am forever grateful to M&M (and H&D last week) for sharing your beautiful day 🤍

In a nutshell… complete and utter commitment to the design of your day.

We will guide you through seasonal flowers and complimentary colour palettes; and introduce you to our world of expertly curated florals.

Guided by depths of your interests and personalities, with your venue as our canvas, we’ll work with your suppliers to transform your wedding day into something that is uniquely you.

We’ll sketch, plan and document our designs so that you know exactly what to expect and how florals integrate with your aesthetic.

1. To begin, complete our enquiry form providing as much information about your day and floral budget.

2. We’ll have an initial consultation to help learn more about you, your interests and plans for your wedding day. We’ll talk you through through some initial ideas, what to expect in working with us and ways to optimise your floral budget for impact!

3. We’ll supply a quote and initial proposal and anticipate some back and forth to get this just right.

4. Following booking, we usually plan a further 1-2 consultations from 6 months of your wedding, to build out the floral design, working with all of your wedding suppliers to design a wedding as unique as you.
