We're really sad to hear the news about The Yorkshire Dales Food & Drink Festival.

We've worked with the founders for many years and it was always such a great event.

Events such as this help bring hundreds of thousands of pounds to the local economy. It really is a shame to see it go.

The Yorkshire Dales Food and Drink Festival has been called off as the firm which runs the popular annual event has entered liquidation.

Colour 💛🧡🩷💚

It rained. A lot. 🤣 But we honestly had the best day yesterday at our Spring Showcase.

We spent the day with some fab supplier friends (old and new) and despite the weather had loads of couples pop and see us. Some on the final countdown to their big days, others just starting out on their planning journey...exciting!!!

Thanks to everyone that made it so fab and arrived with beaming smiles through a soggy Yorkshire field!

The Best of the Best 👌

Our structures are manufactured (and cared for by us) to an incredibly high standard.

You can rest assured that if you book with us your teepees will be the highest quality event teepee structures on the market.

MAINTENANCE – We are often asked how long Tentipi tents last, and there is no definitive answer. If well looked after they will last for many years, and there are several things we recommend our customers do to keep them in good condition.

These are our top tips…

INSPECT YOUR CANVAS - for nicks, tears, and holes. It's much easier to repair a tear when it's small. It's worth keeping one of our canvas repair kits on hand. We give guidance about managing repairs in-house and for larger repairs we can advise on authorised Tentipi repairers.

CLEAN YOUR CANVAS - our canvas has a custom coating that gives it exceptional weatherproofing, but this coating must be cleaned carefully to prevent damage. For everyday mud and dirt, wait for the canvas to dry and remove excess dirt with a brush, then wash with lots of warm water and a soft cloth. For tougher stains the fabric manufacturer's advice is to use a light solution of chlorine bleach in water (ratio 1:10). Always rinse with clean water afterwards.

STORING YOUR CANVAS - if your tipi is left unoccupied for any length of time, we recommend taking it down, drying it completely and storing it in a dry, well-ventilated space.

WIND MANAGEMENT - As with any temporary structure, wind management is a constant consideration. All Tentipi customers are given a printed copy of our Safety Manual and access to an online version. It details our specific wind ratings and pull-out forces which vary according to the tipi size and model. We are always happy to answer wind management questions.

TIPI POLES - due to the immense strength of the Nordic spruce that we use, they do not need any unpleasant chemicals to prevent rot, but they require a certain amount of care. When not in use, store poles off the ground in a dry, well-ventilated space. For long-term installations, we recommend using a plastic membrane beneath the poles to prevent them from sitting on wet ground and soaking up water.

We get asked this a LOT!! Bryn and Henry’s glorious day is the most perfect example of what happens when it rains - the snazzy brollies come out, the pizza oven gets fired up, the fizz flows and the guest hit the dance floor!
