Some t**t last night smashed the glass on our welcome sign, it's been the latest of crappy things happening to the studio this year. There has been a lot, quite a lot of thieving going on - it's quite disheartening - been hesitant to post on a negative subject but it's pi***ng me off that people are stealing stuff off our gear, presumably because it fits something they own. It's tough enough running a business in these times but having to find the money to replace something - not through wear and tear but through vandalism/five finger discounts. Most often it's rendered useless as whatever it is, cannot function without the item that's been nicked. Please, whoever you lot are, go somewhere else... everyone else sorry for such a negative subject , thanks for supporting the studio, we love you ❤️

*THIS SATURDAY* Another late PARTY until 3am at the RNRC at the end of this week. Plenty of DJs , a warm welcoming crowd and lots of alcohol. Book tickets through skiddle for £7 or OTD £10. Well stocked bar , dub , roots reggae and drum and bass, different rooms for different moods......and we'll be providing the old school flavour at the bar, Disco to breakdance, funk to soul, 12" mixes and hard to find versions of tunes back in the day. Merry Christmas to all of you, thanks to everyone who have supported us over 2023 , which has been a bit of a challenging year with prices of things going up every five seconds and having to raise our own prices to keep the studio going, despite being really busy. Thanks to you RNRC is ready for 2024, We're open again from the 3rd for more shenanigans - more awesome music making, more live events on Saturday nights and less effing powercuts!

We're living in crazy times right now - our electric bill went up by £300, which has put our figures into a spin ( see video🤔) ...So we're going to have to raise our rates, something that we are reluctant to do - this doesn't benefit the studio - but it ensures it's survival. All the same, it feels lame doing this. Room hourly rates will go up by £1 Guitar amp hire will be £2 4 hour deals will be as follows Don Van (Large room) £45 Doldrums/Cafe wha. £40 Barret's Bunker £35 For an average four piece band it's another £1 each. We hope you understand our situation, it's a decision forced upon us and it sucks. New prices start from October 10.

The office piano is finally getting some love. Made in 1974, abandoned into our care in 2009, and now in 2022 getting a new string (yes, a G string) and a proper tuning. Again it's Richard Lidster who has breathed new life into our pianos. Thank you very much pal, will deffo use your services again. Nice to have two choices for recording piano again 🙂

WE'RE BACK OPEN ON THE 18TH. It's been a long time, but we will be opening again soon - with a few changes. Going to be so good, hearing music again.
