We had another great Leeds Heritage Pub and History Tour yesterday, with this 24-strong group, who were thirsty for beer and knowledge in roughly equal measure.
Next Saturday we start our second route - a trek around the University of Leeds campus, with lots of stories of invention and discovery, philanthropy and controversy, extraordinary architecture and concrete brutality. And of course there are a few beers thrown in too.

We're delighted to announce a second route for our heritage and history walking tours.
With the kind support of the University of Leeds we are now starting our first campus tours.
Our second route will begin on the Parkinson Steps, beneath the University's famous Portland stone tower.
The tour will reveal some remarkable campus stories: campaigners and philanthropists, controversial artworks and great scientists and authors. We will see the original Victorian buildings of the red-brick university, visit the astonishing Brotherton Library, and see how just a few of the Georgian terrace streets have remained, on a campus which has expanded steadily over 150 years.
Oh, and there will still be the pub stops, of course! We will call in for drinks at some of the pubs much loved by students and academics alike - including the Old Bar, the beating heart of Leeds University Union.
Our first campus tour is on Saturday March 22nd (12 noon) with further tours on Sunday June 8th and Thursday June 19th. For further details of these, and all our coming events, visit https://itsthebeertalking.co.uk/coming-events/
