We're back at Left Bank tomorrow night for another pop-up event!

Come along, sit down when the host is free, and talk about anything you'd like! If you're not sure what to say, your host will get the ball rolling with some casual questions.

This event is for both LGBTQIA+ individuals and allies. As long as you're respectful, anyone can come along for a chat.

It only takes 15 minutes, there's never any pressure to stay for the duration, and there's a whole bunch of other fun activities to do at Left Bank before/after your chat.

Happy 2024, everyone! We're very excited to be back at Left Bank Leeds on Cardigan Road (LS6 1LJ) this year from 7pm to 9pm on the last Wednesday of every month. Our first pop-up at Left Bank will be on January 31st, so save the date!

If you're new or need a little refresher of the format, it's simply show up and sit down with the host. If they're currently chatting to somebody else, please take a seat near the pop-up so we can spot you and make sure our current session doesn't run over 15 minutes. While you're waiting, you can hang out and do some arts or crafts (solo or in a group!) with no pressure to spend any money at Left Bank — that's the beauty of Creative Wednesdays.

Left Bank is wheelchair accessible, although the toilets are not large enough to allow for wheelchair use within the bathroom facilities. As Left Bank is a Grade II Listed former church building, there are some limitations with regards to accessibility. Please contact the venue directly if you have any concerns or wish to discuss your needs.

Join us for our final pop-up of the year at Left Bank, Leeds on Wednesday the 29th of November from 7pm to 9pm!

We've been hosting a regular pop-up at Left Bank that's designed to coincide with their Creative Wednesdays where anyone can show up and use the space to practise something creative. We hope you'll come along and join us for a casual (and dare we say "festive") chat!

It was always our intention to host pop-ups across more of West Yorkshire as and when time and budget would allow, and we're thrilled to be hosting our first one at Our House - Wakefield on Saturday the 4th of November from 1pm to 4pm.

This will be a drop-in style pop-up, meaning all you need to do is simply show up, keep an eye out for the 15-Minute Friendships banner (you can't miss it!), and sit down when the host is free.

If you've never been to Our House before, we'd really recommend stopping by. It's an amazing space with lots of info and resources as well as a café and q***r book and gift shop! What's not to love?

This is by no means an exhaustive or comprehensive list, and the info here has been condensed for the purposes of an Instagram post. We encourage you to do your own reading and research into asexuality and to support your asexual friends!

Asexual people often experience societal pressure and even oppression based on their identities. In a world that puts a strong onus on sexual and romantic relationships, it's not uncommon for asexual people to feel othered or even find themselves ostracised by their communities for their orientations.

15 Minute Friendships ran its first ever pop-up in July 2023. Since then, we've hosted a minimum of 2x events a month, and we've got plenty more planned before the year is out.

We think it's really important to take the time to reflect on our achievements and to express our gratitude for the amazing support we've had since the project launched.

But it's also really important to be mindful of the narrative social media can feed into when we only share the good stuff, which is why we want to re-iterate that NOBODY came to that first pop-up we ran in July! We didn't let it stop us though, and look how far we've come in just THREE months.

If you're thinking about launching a project, starting something creative, or doing something a little out of your comfort zone, we hope you'll see this as a sign to just get out there and do it! There are people out there who will support you (including us!) and the world could always use a little more awesomeness.

Had an absolutely marvellous night at again! It's such a wonderful space with caring staff and definitely the right venue for our regular events.

Big thank you to everyone who came along. It is so nice to see familiar faces as well as new people too. We've got two more events at Left Bank this year, on the last Wednesday of October and November. 2023 is flying by! 😯

The wonderful folk at have invited us down to their End of Summer Festival at on Saturday the 2nd of September from 4pm to 10pm to provide a Chill & Chat space for anybody who'd like to relax and unwind between performances and workshops!

You'll find us set up on the benches near the check-in area with art supplies, fairly lights, blankets, and good vibes. Come along for a chat, to meet new people, or if you just fancy taking a break (there's no pressure to talk).

Everyone is welcome (you don't have to be a member of the LGBTQIA+ community) and your host, Bridie, will still be on hand to chat, but you might just make some new friends too!

While 15-Minute Friendships is focussed on supporting the LGBTQIA+ community, you don't have to be a part of this community to attend one of our pop-ups.

There are lots of different reasons why someone might choose to keep an LGBTQIA+ resource or event open to allies. From enabling closeted individuals to attend or helping someone on their journey of discovery, all the way to supporting allies.

15-Minute Friendships is open to anybody who thinks they'd find value in attending one of our pop ups so long as they are supportive of the LGBTQIA+ community.
