Hey!👋🏻 Here's my face and a little update for you! We're currently away in Marbella on our first two week summer holiday since our honeymoon (eight years ago!). It's incredibly hot, maybe even too hot but it feels so good to be taking a break during the busiest time of year. I'm so grateful to be able to enjoy time with my family and continue to run a business that I love 🩷
I'm getting quite a few enquiries at the moment, with new bookings confirmed for 2025! The genuine feeling of happiness when I receive a new enquiry never fades, thank you to those lovely couples that have recently booked me to support them with their wedding plans ✨
A huge thank you also to all of my wonderful couples so far this year. You have all been so kind and grateful which means more than you'll ever know! 😍 2024 brings four more weddings (I still have capacity for winter coordinations just fyi 🙋🏻♀️), then I'll be scaling it back a little for 2025 to factor in my new PT business and family life.

June 🩷 What a busy, fun and fabulous month! Three beautiful weddings, a sunny few days in Marbella, new planning clients on board, site visits, a serious amount of admin and the launch of SCW Training & Coaching✨
It's a busy time with the two businesses but I'm getting the hang of balancing both and enjoying the challenges along the way 🙌🏼
July is set to be another busy month with two weddings, logistical admin for my August weddings, supporting my planning clients and PT studio life 💪🏼 We're also heading back to Spain for two whole weeks to spend some quality time together as a family 🌞
Work life balance has been a huge thing for me this year, particularly with Mabes starting school and the additional business. My calendar is now limited to three weddings a month as this allows me to have at least one weekend off, to enjoy slow days in the garden with family, see friends and feel rested has been incredibly refreshing. I love to work and have always had a very positive work ethic but living your life is also important 🩷
On that note I'm off to enjoy a day out in Sheffield, Happy Sunday! 👋🏻

A much needed walk this afternoon, surrounded by nature and listening to my favourite music 🍂 It's moments like this that make me realise how important it is to slow down and enjoy the little things in life. Most definitely my mantra for 2024 ✨
I feel very absent on my business socials at the moment, but that's ok. I often feel that there is a need to be present all of the time, particularly on a business platform as otherwise you fear people will think you've disappeared. But unless I have something to say, I prefer to post when it feels right 💗
I'm still here (hey! 🙋🏽♀️) and planning lots of exciting celebrations, as well as working through my PT qualification and gearing up for Christmas. My last wedding of the year is in the beautiful city of York in just two weeks time, my season then starts again in March - exciting times!

First day of half term done! 🙌🏼 It's taken a huge shift in my business life, adjusting to the evidently short school hours (I basically blink and it's 3pm) 😂 BUT I'm so grateful to be able to adjust my hours to work around my family 💗

Your wedding schedule 💌
As a wedding planner, a schedule for everyone to refer to is crucial to ensure that we're all on the same page and fully aware of what's happening and when. This is why having that 4-6 week lead time before your wedding is really important, to ensure that I have adequate time to contact your suppliers, check arrangements and collate all timings.
This schedule is my bible on the day ✨ Often, suppliers will comment on how useful it is too which highlights that they're grateful to have an event planner's organisational skills on board.
When a couple has chosen to book on the day management it's because they want 'us' to be their eyes and ears on the day, enabling them to fully enjoy such a special celebration.
Whether you choose to book on the day coordination or not, putting together a schedule is so useful and a great brain dumping exercise too! The last few weeks leading up to your wedding day can be incredibly overwhelming, so get all of your plans down on paper and communicate with your suppliers. The more they know in advance, the smoother your day will run ❤️
