We finally managed to host our Secret Business Lunch last week after 2 years of postponing and well… What a day!! 🤩

The room was electric with conversation & kindness in bucket loads ✨💫

Our Secret keynote speaker was revealed as the amazing John Quinton-Barber, who talked to us about his ‘life happens’ mantra and how his bottom line is better for it 💯

The Secret Menu went down a treat 🙌🏻 and the surprise secret envelopes got a royal welcome, we’ve never seen people move so quickly 🤣

We’re joined by esteemed cheese judges LIVE for seven judging categories including Best Specialty Cheese, Best Territorial Cheese, Best Cheddar, Best Blue, Best Artisan Hard and Soft and Best Enhanced cheese.

Later today we’ll also be announcing the winners of our Excellence Awards including Young Cheesemaker Award, Cheese Hero and the Sustainability trophy! 🏆

Today is a day to raise awareness and focus on a critical issue, that many people overlook. It’s STOP FOOD WASTE DAY! It’s crucial that we look at ways to reduce the amount of food wasted daily as it is having a negative impact on our environment.

33% of all food produced globally goes to waste. We need to fight this problem! 🌎♻️

We have a few tips that we follow during our event planning processes that can help you reduce waste...
1. Get rid of the buffet – Over 50% of buffet food doesn't get consumed. Alternatively, plan for your leftover, untouched buffet food to be delivered to a local food bank or shelter after your event! ✅
2. Don’t over-feed your guests with too much food. Taste test the menu before the event, or opt for just starters and mains, or just mains and desserts ✅
3. Pre-order food for your guests – Having your guests choose what they want to eat reduces the likeliness for them to waste it, and avoids caterers preparing too much food! ✅

- Bike and walk more, instead of driving 👣🚲

Last week we visited one of our favourite cities! We had such a brilliant day followed by the most amazing evening 😍

We took part in the Emporium of Magic Escape Room at ! 🪄🔮 We worked together as a team to solve the puzzles, unlock the spells and escape the room - with 10 minutes to spare!! 🧙🏽‍♀️ We’d definitely recommend this experience for you and your team as a fantastic team building activity! It really encourages you to get your thinking caps on and collaborate to escape the room in the allotted time! 🕰

Our fun-filled day was then followed by us attending the Northern Leadership Awards hosted by The Business Desk, and as you’ll have probably already seen - our MD Kate was crowned the WINNER of the Emerging Entrepreneur Award! 🏆🍾 We’re super proud of our Kate, she’s so deserving of this award! 💛

It’s so exciting watching our team and our incredible client base grow! Onwards and upwards for SES 🙌🏼🔑
