Sandal Castle this evening, which is just a stones throw away is lit up ready to welcome a dragon (yes you read that correctly) who, after exploring the city of Wakefield over the past few days, will be visiting nearby Pugneys lake tomorrow and take flight across the lake.

We are really excited to announce that one of our wedding images, which was awarded Image of the Month by the Guild of Photographers earlier this year, has now been selected as one of the top ten finalists for the award of Image of the Year.

The Guild says " To reach the final is clearly a remarkable achievement when you consider the number of entries we have had and the tremendously high standards we have witnessed all year!
During 2023, the competition has attracted c12,000 entries from the most talented of photographers."

The Awards Ceremony takes place in February 2024.

Well it gets even better with even more exciting news.

Last week, I received the news that the photograph below had won a Silver Award in the The Guild Of Photographers monthly competition.
A few days ago, I received another email informing me that the same image had also been chosen as the overall winner in the Wedding genre for July's Competition.

Yesterday, I received this beautiful framed print of the winning image, kindly donated by Loxley Colour.

Thank you so much to judges of the Guild and to Loxley for this amazing print.

Last week I received the amazing news that I had won three awards in the Guild of Photographer's monthly competition - two bronze awards and one silver. This was the first time of entering since pre-Covid so I was amazed that all three of my entries were honoured with a reward.

The Guild of photographers only awards the Bronze Bar to images of a strong standard in this national competition and the Silver Bar is only awarded to images that are very well crafted.
