This week, we had the pleasure of hearing The Lord Mayor of Leeds, Abigail Marshall Katung at the First Direct Arena for the UKIB Breakfast Club.

What an inspiring and phenomenal woman she is. One of many things she said that resonated with us, included:

"Diversity is a fact, inclusivity is a choice"

Her passion for her home town Leeds, its community, as well as DEI (diversity, equality and inclusion), resonates with us as a female-led business in our industry.

So as Women’s History Month comes to a close, we’d like to give a shout out to all female-led businesses in our region.

As the new Darley Street Market in Bradford heads towards completion this year, we’re pleased to have played a part in shaping its exciting food court and events space.

Working alongside City of Bradford Metropolitan District Council and Bradford Markets, we installed a versatile lighting rig designed to create an inviting atmosphere for performances and events.

To bring this space to life, we supplied CHAUVET Professional UK Ovation F145WW Fresnels and Eve P-160 RGBW LED Pars, controlled via a ChamSys QuickQ rack.

Alongside this, 12 sections of 1mx1m Showgear Mammoth staging allow for a range of performance setups - whether it's a solo artist on a small stage or a full band taking over a 4m x 3m larger stage.

We’re looking forward to seeing this space in action as the new-look market opens its doors in 2025!

We’ve loved watching the incredible growth of Coeo Elevating Collections – an annual event that crams in insight and innovation in credit management and collections.

This year, it moved to a new venue at the fantastic Aspire Leeds and once again we were on hand to boost the proceedings!

We transformed Aspire into a dynamic hub of interaction with an impressive 6m x 3m LED wall and a full–on AV setup that seamlessly integrated live feeds.

We also provided full PA with a Behringer mixer, Brooke Beta speakers, lectern, radio and handheld mics. While a custom cover Catchbox injected an element of fun into the lively Q&A sessions.

Add in TV screens, CHAUVET Professional UK Freedom uplightROBE lighting LEDBeam 150s, Phantom 50 movers and the ever–reliable Source 4 profiles for stage highlighting and the stage was set for a successful event. 👏🏽

This week we had a fabulous meeting at Smart Works Leeds, where we learned about the invaluable service it offers.

Smart Works provides unemployed women with coaching, clothing and the confidence needed to secure employment and change their lives' trajectory.

One member of our team, who has previously volunteered at Smart Works, witnessed first-hand how this service can boost self-esteem and self-belief.

As a female-led business, we look forward to exploring opportunities to support and collaborate with Smart Works in its mission.

✍🏼Date for the diary!

On Friday 25 April, we will be supporting the first-ever Martin House Ladies Lunch at Hazlewood Castle.

Martin House Children's Hospice is a charity that provides hospice care for children and young people across West, North and East Yorkshire. It also provides family-led care to children and young people with life-limiting and life-threatening illnesses.

We are delighted to provide Martin House with the technical equipment and production support for this spring-themed event, hosted by the charity's fabulous ambassador Christine Talbot.

Martin House will be taking over the stunning marquee at the castle, starting with a drinks reception, followed by a two-course lunch.

With plenty of opportunities to connect with a wonderful group of ladies and raise money, as well as guest talks from some very inspirational women including Rachel Peru, it's time to book your place!
