We worked closely with J&M to bring their bespoke style and personality to their wedding through thoughtfully curated decor and design.

With the historic and classic backdrop of Grantley Hall providing a timeless aesthetic for their intimate pre-wedding dinner, we complemented the setting with subtle, minimalist table décor that enhanced rather than overshadowed the intricate details of the space. While J&M envisioned a wedding day filled with maximalist florals, they wanted their welcome dinner the night before to feel entirely different.

Celebrating H&L’s first wedding anniversary✨

A year ago we had the honour of planning H&L’s unforgettable New Year’s Eve wedding weekend at Kin House and it was nothing short of spectacular!

Modern, sophisticated, and refined, their wedding embodied their energetic spirit with a fabulous party atmosphere and live musicians that had every guest on their feet all night. There wasn’t a dull moment and the joy was truly infectious as their loved ones celebrated the start of a new chapter and a new year with them.

One of the most special parts of working with H&L was the friendship we built throughout their wedding planning journey with not only them, but their gorgeous families.

We truly get to know our couples, so much so that it feels like having a friend with you on your wedding day—and beyond! H&L we’re so grateful for the trust and connection we shared and for our friendship even after your wonderful wedding day.

One of our favourite memories was hearing the bride say, “I felt so relaxed on the day, and that was completely to do with knowing that Rosie had everything under control.” This meant the world to us that our bride could fully be present and enjoy every moment without a worry.

Merry Christmas everyone!
As we wrap up 2024, I’m reflecting on what an incredible year it’s been - packed with milestones, growth, and creativity.

This year has been filled with the joy of planning unforgettable weddings and events. It’s been a privilege to work with wonderful clients and collaborate with talented suppliers. Your creativity and teamwork have been the backbone of every success this year - thank you.

We also took the big move to Edinburgh. Splitting my time between Yorkshire and Stockbridge, Edinburgh, has been a big adjustment, but I’ve absolutely loved the experience. Stockbridge is full of charm, with the New Town beautiful architecture, vibrant city life, and so many beautiful spots to explore close by. It’s been a joy to see my family flourish here.

Alongside this I took the challenge on to seek mentorship for my business and a dear friend introduced me to a brilliant business coach, , and it turned out to be exactly what I needed.

My journey with Katie has been completely transformative. It’s helped me reconnect with my passions, uncover what I truly want in both my personal and professional life, and even encouraged me to take the leap to Scotland. The inspiring women I’ve met have been a source of motivation, learning, and genuine friendship. I’ve also had the privilege of joining Katie Julia’s head office team, working alongside an incredible group of women, and I’m so excited to support next year’s ICONICs.

I’m so proud of what my team and I have achieved - professionally and personally. From creating magical moments for our clients to embracing new routines in Scotland, 2024 has been a year of growth, connection, and rediscovery.

I&O’s shared love for Christmas was thoughtfully woven into every aspect of their wedding, creating a celebration that felt as magical as the season itself.

From a band all dressed as Father Christmas to Christmas trees lining the reception space and festive fruits artfully incorporated into the table design, every detail told their story and reflected their favourite time of year.

This week has been nothing short of extraordinary. We orchestrated an incredible celebration on a private estate on the coast of Scotland, we planned the grand unveiling of a breathtaking new northern venue, and I celebrated another trip around the sun (with my son as we both share the same Halloween Birthday). Rachel Scott truly understood the brief for Charlotte and went above and beyond, providing the most exceptional service. The delivery included not only a sensational Vivien Westwood dress but also multiple pieces of exquisitely handcrafted jewellery, perfect for her wedding day and her honeymoon which began on the Orient Express.

The invitation from the Orient Express requested all onboard were to dress in their finest regalia and these (and there were more) beautiful pieces made Charlotte feel incredible on her wedding day and beyond.

This summer, Rosie and Will tied the knot at Rosie’s father’s beautiful farm in Hampshire, and it was nothing short of magical. Surrounded by family and friends, they celebrated their love in a heartwarming ceremony in the church with which Rosie’s family has deep roots. The sun shone, and the atmosphere was filled with laughter, dancing, and unforgettable moments… and dance moves!

Today's post is about flowers and the beauty they bring to weddings. For many clients, flowers are a top priority. They want impactful floral arrangements but are often shocked by the cost. My goal today is to clarify why wedding flowers are priced as they are and provide insight into this beautiful aspect of wedding planning.

Creating stunning floral arrangements is an art requiring significant expertise. Designers spend years honing their craft, learning about colour theory, design principles, and the intricate mechanics of flower arranging. Each arrangement is a custom creation tailored to fit the couple’s vision and wedding aesthetic, demanding time, precision, and deep floristry knowledge.

The journey from seed to bouquet is complex and labour-intensive. Flowers are often grown in specialised environments with meticulous care. Once harvested, they need careful preparation—cleaning, trimming, and conditioning to ensure freshness and vibrancy. Florists handle them with great care to prevent damage and maintain their beauty and longevity.

Logistics add significantly to the overall cost. Flowers are shipped year-round, often from distant locations, and out-of-season blooms are particularly expensive. The process of creating wedding installations involves significant labour, with florists spending countless hours designing, assembling, and installing these creations, often working long hours, including weekends, to ensure perfection.

In summary, the cost of wedding flowers reflects the artistry, expertise, labour, and logistical efforts involved in bringing a couple's floral vision to life.

My father is a true expert in garden and floral design. We’ve spent countless hours at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show over the years, working on his show gardens and learning about the diverse varieties of flowers and their emotional impact.
