If you’re on the fence about having a stylist on the morning of your wedding day, here are some things to think about:
- do you have enough people to help decorate on the morning around having their make up/hair done?
- how much styling do you want to have? Is it super simple with a few things to put out or do you want your full room styling?
- will you be able to overlook any mistakes family members etc make when decorating or will it be something that always irritates you?
- how important is styling for you? Do you have a vision for how you want it? If it’s not as important for you, is it something you want to budget for?

This is one of my most common questions. What if I change my mind later down the line?
When you book your suppliers 2 years before your wedding, I would say it’s completely normal to have some changes and different ideas along the way! I would still recommend being organised and booking your suppliers even if you’re not 100% sure on all of the details yet.
When you secure a booking with us, the styling isn’t set in stone until around 8 weeks before your wedding. If you decide to change your colour scheme completely, we get it! 🫶🏽

I’m having a week. My list of jobs is endless, the kids haven’t been sleeping and I’m permanently trying to keep on with the household chores and failing 😂 as well as working both my jobs and trying to be a good mum. I’m so tired I can’t function and I just keep adding more to my never ending list of to dos 🙃
But, despite all of this. Yesterday I received the loveliest review ever from my event this weekend. It was a big job for me, we only had around a month turnaround and I only worked on it after 8 every night when the girls were asleep. 😴 So tonight, I’m letting myself off for not being on with my admin or in front with my washing pile because I’m feeling proud of me 🫶🏽

5 top tips when planning your wedding 💒
Planning a wedding can be stressful, you get engaged and then suddenly you have a million jobs to do for the big day as well as continuing your usual daily jobs.
✨ Write a list of all the things you need to book. (If you know me, you know I love lists so this one might be bias). You can quickly tick off the ones you have booked and I know that tick will make you feel less stressed. If you are unsure what needs to go on the list, send me a message and I’ll help!
✨ Consider your style, think about a colour scheme and pull together some photos of other weddings that you like. This will help to decide on the colours for your styling, flowers, suits and dresses!
✨ When you have booked your venue, take photos of all the places you think you might want to be styled. Are there any cute windowsills or staircases? Do you need something for the end of the aisle to get married in front of or beneath? How big is the aisle you’re going to walk down? What decor will fit in the space? Where will your guests enter?
✨ Don’t become obsessed with your Pinterest board. Remember that while many weddings on there are to die for, they may be unrealistic in terms of your styling budget.
✨ Keep a spreadsheet of your expenditure. Consider how much you’re willing to spend on your wedding and on each aspect of it. You’ll need to think about styling, flowers, rings, suits, dresses, gifts + many more things. The costs can soon rack up and it’s good to have an idea of what you have spent and where so that you can decide if you need to make cut backs or if you have some extra budget to play with.

IMPORTANT UPDATE 🍭
Hi everyone, I have just a few things to update you on business wise so if you’re interested please read on 🤗
1. There are some bouncy castle changes. I will no longer be hiring out my large castle, honestly it’s just too big for me to move and the amount of cleaning stresses me out! I have to ask someone to help me each time it’s hired out and it’s just not fair on other people, it’s soooo pretty but honestly just not worth the hassle for me and my little business.
2. For similar reasons as above, my small castle will only be available to hire with a party set up. E.g. picnics, backdrops etc. The full party package as you will have seen on my photos this summer. This one will still be available to hire through the colder months but only for indoor venues.
3. I have sold my teepee themes to a lovely lady in Pontefract, she has set up her new business and is available for all of the party themes I had before. I still have 5 teepees and obviously lots of pretty decor to create bespoke themes if you need them. I know lots of my lovely regular customers continue to book me every year so don’t worry I can still accommodate you. I will not however be super busy with Christmas themes this year as I have less stock. If you did want to book Christmas please let me know ASAP 🎅
4. As you all know, I have recently branched out into wedding decor and this is where I need to focus a lot of my attention. The above decisions have played on my mind all year and it just makes sense for me to not offer those services anymore. I am a one man band and I can’t do everything 🫣 so, I’m still here for: children’s parties (picnics, table dressing, backdrops - the works basically - small & large kids parties),
full wedding styling, hen parties, baby showers, table dressing/venue dressing including Christmas parties & corporate events, backdrop floral arrangements/artificial + pampas arrangements, bell tents and other bespoke party packa

What a year it’s been! We are so so grateful for each and every one of you who has supported us this year, whether you have booked an event or shared/commented on our posts, we notice you all 💗
This year has been so much fun. It has been our first year of picnics and bell tents which were a huge success and towards the end of the summer we also purchased two gorgeous white bouncy castles!
We rebranded to Twinkle Events Company to let you all know that we can style any event that you need.
We set up events for the lovely @miss_charleywebb ‘s son and the King of the Castle @danny_b_miller and @stephjones1710 ‘s baby shower which we were honoured to be a part of along with @balloonbloomandco ❤️
