A massive part of my summer are the food festivals put on by The North Leeds Food Festival and now expanded to 8 different locations over 18 dates from early May to late August. I’m privileged to have them trust in me to run the family stage.

18 Food Festivals, 108 shows, 90 circus workshops over 8 locations, my food festival shows for 2024 are done and that my friends I believe is a well deserved pint. has been a delight to finish the season on.

3 shows at Harrogate Food & Drink Festival harrogatefoodanddrinkfestival today then a quick boot over to whiteworthartgallery for a gorgeous wedding this evening, celebrating with Abigail and Sam on the lovely day. I’ll be home about midnight tonight with about 6 “on stage” hours and 6 driving hours under my belt but I love every minute of it 😃

Arrived just in time to see Emma & her entourage make their grand entrance through these beautiful doors at manorhouselindley I’ll just sit and chill in the sunshine now for a bit until they all come out to see some magic in about half an hour. I absolutely love my job 😃

***UPDATE - I've had so many massages and updates on this, I need to take literally the first school that says "I definitely want that slot" if you message in real time I will tell you in real time what works but if someone else confirms they want that slot before I get a reply, I WILL HAVE TO TAKE THE FIRST CONFIRMATION)

Starting from the winter term I intend to donate 1 day per school term to making sure all children get to see a live magic show before they reach double figures.

The date for the Autumn/Winter term 2024 will be Friday 4th October, the time slots available are below and will be allocated on a first come first served basis. If you'd like to reserve a slot for your school, check the "How It Works" info below & message me with details.

This has come about off the back of me realising that some schools can't afford to get a magician to come in as a reward for their students and in many areas, families can't afford to pay for an entertainer to come to their children's parties. I saw the incredible Mario the Maker Magician do a talk where he said "Every child deserves a seat at the theatre" and he's 100% right so hopefully through this initiative I can help make that happen.

How It Works
On each of the days I do this I want to be able to get around as many schools as possible so I have specifically tailored a 30 minute show where I can arrive, walk in with all the kit I need in one go, perform the show then get back out again and off to the next school ASAP. This unfortunately means all the schools taking part need to be within the West Yorkshire area (for now, I may be able to see how I can make logistics work into Barnsley, etc.). I'll only be able to bring 1 speaker in with me so I can cater for audiences of up to about 60 at a time. The times I think I can fit are below, assuming I'll have a max of 30 mins commute between schools. Time slots are available on a first come, first served basis, I'll do my best to update the rosta as soon as a time slot is taken.

09:00 - 09:30: Ossett South Parade Primary School
10:30 - 11:00: Lawfield Primary School
12:00 - 12:30: GCA Gawthorpe Community Academyy
13:30 - !4:00:Scissett CE Academyy
14:45 - 15:15: St Aiden's Academy

PS. This is the first time I've ever done anything like this so anything that helps logistically (ie. picking a slot either side of a nearby school or starting earlier than 09:00 or finishing later than 15:30) would be a massive help.

My friends at The Ilkley Golf Company have got an awesome introductory offer on their mobile crazy golf set up for weddings, if you’re after something unique at your wedding (as well as the wedding magician of the year 😝) check them out. I met Mary & Adam a few years back performing at their work’s summer do where Mary booked me a few years on the trot. They’re an absolute amazing couple and I had such a lovely time performing at their wedding today. Absolutely crazy atmosphere with some incredible guests too 😃.

I was back at Batley Grammar School tonight for the 3rd year in a row, thanks to School Speakers, to speak about resilience, never stopping learning and doing what you love with your life. This was all part of their Year 9 graduation event, it’s a fantastic evening every year and such a great way to celebrate the achievements of their young people, this year brought a little tear to my eye at one point. Great school, great kids, great staff 😃.

It was my first time visiting the gorgeous Holmfirth Vineyard & Restaurant yesterday for Kelly & Brad’s wedding. It was such a busy one I didn’t get chance to catch Brad for a photo at the end but the guests were absolutely fantastic and the sun treated us well. Beautiful day, beautiful wedding, beautiful people 😃

5 shows today in the cold and wet (it’s June for crying out loud) I’m absolutely pooped but a massive thanks to Dazzling Darren - Children's Magic & Entertainment for doing 4 shows himself at the Ilkley Food & Drink Festival, teeing me up nicely for shows 5 & 6. Also a massive thanks to Active hire for getting me involved with the Airedale International fun day, it was a wet one but we pulled it off.
