Hey everyone, Abi here …

I thought it was about time, I shared some business updates.

So I’m learning that I think you guys want to see more behind the scenes of the business and learn what I do, day to day. So I’m hoping to start sharing some more of my life and my teams day to day.

Also, we have some really amazing things coming soon. I hope to announce this early next week. We have been promising this for a long time but today we finally had the ball rolling.

We have had so many weddings over the last month and we are starting to have some time to catch up and take stock so if you need us for anything feel free to drop us a message.

Today I turn 28 ✨🌸🎀🌈🩷🐶🌷🍉🍭

I’m not normally a person to share too much personally on here but my god…

What a year I’ve had… sometimes you need to take a moment. My 27th year has been a BLAST! I feel like this year we’ve achieved so much and I’ve had sooo many highs. The highs have been high and the lows have been few and far between.

We opened our shop in Shepshed and guys it’s thriving! It was hard work and completely to the wire but we did it. I got the keys to Ashby less than a month after and this is my biggest achievement personally, as it was a dream of mine. In between, the busiest valentines and Mother’s Day ever, we went to New York and I managed to explore all the flower markets and had frankly the time of my life. (Who knows, shall we have shop 3 in New York?!) I went to Barcelona for my hen, with my bestest friends and had the best time of my actual life!!! Then to top it all off, I got to marry my best friend of 17 years, surrounded by the most amazing people. I got to flower every thing I ever wanted in the church and venue.

My 28th year, hopefully will be full of as much growth, energy and love ✨ watch this space!

Thank you to my flower ladies for making my day so special too, we’ve been working away getting some weddings ready. Feeling very lucky!

I love nothing more than receiving professional photos 🎀 especially from 🫶🏻

This was my first wedding back after getting married. Sonia & Jason had a small, intimate wedding that packed a punch. Flowers everywhere and a bright pop of pink, what more could a girl wish for.

I adored creating this. Sonia gave me such freedom and it was everything I’d hoped for and more.

Ashby Pop Up 🎀🥂🌷🌸

This Saturday, July 27th.

Join us and the wonderful .elizabeth.rich for a pop up event in our Ashby shop. We will supply a glass of fizz while you shop. Abi & The Flower Lady team will have a full flower bar, lots of grab and go bunches and all of our usual gifting bits. We have new bits in too 🩷

Paula will be bringing cards, prints, some will be framed, original paintings & some limited edition pieces. Everything Paula creates is floral and nature inspired.

Tomorrow evening as a welcome to The Flower Lady, we will put on a glass of fizz as you wander and look around the shop and the green house ( shop for the next 3 days).

We will have £10 bunches, lots or grab and gos. Plants and so much more. Dog & Jones will have their pupuccino bar set up too.

We can’t wait to welcome you and your furry friends 🐶

Pop up announcement 📣

We’re so excited to have the wonderful with us at our Shepshed shop starting from July 18th.

As you all know, both of our shops are dog friendly and we love all doggies. So what better way to welcome all our furry friends by having Dog and Jones join us for the weekend. We are opening late on Thursday so everyone can join us.

📣 JOIN OUR TEAM 📣

If you’re interested in joining our team this is for you!! We’re holding an open evening for people to come and chat about the job roles available. In truth, we’ve had so many CV’s we don’t know where to start…

Come and meet us at our Shepshed shop. Monday, July 8th from 5pm -7pm. Lois and I, will be here to have a chat through the jobs we have available.

We have two part time positions available, this will include weekend work. We are looking for someone 18 and over, with a clean UK driving license / car. No previous floristry experience needed. We need an individual that is happy to work in both Shepshed & Ashby. If you’re looking for a career change, this could be for you, as we will train you Flower Lady style.

Sometimes you just need to see pretty flowers on your feed 🦋🩵. Thankfully for us, our shops are full of them.

We’ve had a 3 wedding week this week and goooodness me. We’re busy! Our shops are stocked up with fresh flowers tomorrow for the weekend. Bunches starting from £10, pop in and see us, if you can!

Day 2 & Day 3 snaps 🫶🏻🎀

We were busy last night at a dress rehearsal at the church! Things are starting to heat up now, trying very hard to remember to drink lots of water and not to get nervous/ stressed. Neither a feeling I actually feel very often.

My little bit of insta reality for you today is… I don’t know about you (all my brides, out there) but it’s such a surreal feeling. I feel so loved, grateful and happy but also, so very overwhelmed and odd. It doesn’t feel real or like it’s actually happening to me. One thing I do know though, I’m going to have the best flowers known to man 🕊️💒🌸

Huge shout out to .17 for the best cookies I’ve ever had 🍪 and my amazing friends for their kindness and brownies.

In case you didn’t know, Jez and I are getting married 🕊️🔔⛪️🫶🏻 (which I’m sure you all know about, as it’s all we’ve spoken about for a while)

Because of that we are CLOSING to enjoy flowering and the celebrations.

SHEPSHED will be CLOSED from May 19th and re open on May 28th.
ASHBY will be CLOSED from May 22nd and re open on May 28th.

I’m really sorry if this causes any inconveniences, but I hope you understand us taking this time to enjoy the process.

I’ll be showing you all the little details along the way and I’ll try and post all the behind the scenes.

Today deserves a post dedicated to it 🫶🏻

Thanks to we’ve had the opportunity to work with in their Nottingham store demonstrating to so many amazing people and customers.

If I could tell myself 3 years ago, or to be honest even 6 months ago, that this is something I would be doing, I don’t think I’d believe you. I’m sure this is something that will stay with us for many years to come and a huge achievement for us all.

We can’t wait to continue working & collaborating with Bianca, Joe and the team, as well as John Lewis (here’s hoping eh…)

Exciting things coming for us all and the only way is up. What an achievement and opportunity. I’m totally amazed and proud.

Goodness me 🫶🏻

Never have I ever seen anything like it. I am going to keep this short and sweet. This weekend has been something that my dreams have been made of, if my younger self could see me now, she’d be absolutely amazed. I couldn’t actually believe my luck. 🍀

If you have supported us this weekend or just follow us and our journey I thank you, deeply. I’m blown away with the orders, the kind words and the love we have received and continue to get from you all. Thank you 🫶🏻

📍 Shepshed Market

Tomorrow, in Shepshed, we head back to our roots. The market is heading right outside our lovely Shepshed shop. This is after the wonderful renovation works that have happened in the market place.

Because of this we are opening a little bit earlier, from 8am. We’ll be there until 4, pop and see us and say hey. We’ll have lots of grab and go bunches for you, starting from £10.

This is amazing for us as a business and we can’t wait to see some friendly faces.

Just incase you aren’t in Shepshed, our Ashby shop is open 9.30-4.
