Slowly but surely…Carpinus betulus columns are in! Euonymus japonicus are in! Amalanchier, Roses and pleached trees next. The walled garden is starting to take shape, it is so good to be finally putting in the ground what has been in my head for ages (not all the stuff that is in my head mind, the garden isn’t that big…

It’s been a long time coming, but this very week my design for this walled garden is starting to take shape. Despite everything the weather and life has thrown at me, the skeleton paths are laid, the lights are wired up and the first delivery of plants have arrived. To say I’m excited would be an understatement. Expect updates and muddy boots at regular intervals from here on in….

A glimpse of behind the scenes in the past couple of months…lots of mud, diggers, tracing paper, scribbles, meetings, string lines, emails, head scratching, plotting and planning…and a new walled garden is slowly taking shape. Am so very excited!!!

Don’t ever ask a Gardening Florist to do the interior design for a new restaurant unless you are prepared for a lot (and I mean a LOT) of greenery to be used
