Ive been keeping a little secret 🤫🤰🏼

As of July 2024 I will be taking a step back from the physical aspects of wedding planning in preparation of welcoming our little addition in September. 💙
-
I will still be very active with wed-min tasks between July and September but actual OTD management etc will be on hold until 2025.

15 years ago I first dipped my toe into the world of wedding planning.

I had previously studied and worked in hospitality and after working on a number of beautiful weddings at the fabulous I was keen to see how these weddings were put together.

Fast forward to 2017 mixed with a spell in the legal world, I started my own wedding planning business.

Since taking the plunge in 2022 to go full time, I have never looked back. Wedding planning is not for the faint hearted but it certainly is such a rewarding job and I love it!

MULTI-CULTURAL / FUSION WEDDINGS

Combining different religions into one celebration takes some serious planning. You need a planner who:-
▫️
- has had experience with fusion weddings.
▫️
- understands your different religious requirements/customs.
▫️
- can manage all the different vendors/suppliers.
▫️
- manage a large number of guests (not always the case with fusion weddings but more often than not).
▫️
Can create and deliver and jam-packed but smooth flowing timeline for your day.

Whilst you’re caught up in the buzz of excitement on the morning of your wedding, or perhaps you’re doing some last minute errands (BTW you would NOT be doing this if you had a wedding planner! 😉) remember just to stop and be COMPLETELY present in the moment…literally, just take one minute. -
Ive known some brides actually go off on their own (sending the rest of us into a panic so please tell someone if you intend on doing this 😅🙈) just to have that minute.

◽️HELLO◽️
I’ve had quite a few new followers turn up recently so, thought I’d best do a post and show my face 👋🏻(with a couple of different hair colours!). My name is Emma and I am the Founder and Wedding & Event Planner for EJ Weddings & Events.

I have been in the Hospitality Industry since I left high school (2005!) I studied catering and hospitality at college and had numerous jobs waitressing, bar work, weddings and events. Check the last picture back in my hotel days 🙈

Fast forward to 2010 when I thought this industry wasnt for me and I decided to try a “normal” 9-5 in a law firm. I fine-tuned my IT, organisational skills and learnt A LOT however, I still didnt feel satisfied with my work, plus having a husband who is self employed made me see how much flexibility there was in working for yourself so…I decided to set up my OWN business.

I wont lie, its not an easy ride but anything worth doing isnt easy.
