L & A’s Wedding last July

Venue: Wysall Church and

We had the privilege of decorating both the church and reception for L & R’s wedding. The chosen colour scheme was blue, orange and white with lots of summery seasonal flowers including poppies, delphiniums, snaps, sweet peas and roses to name a few.

L & A looked stunning and their happiness can be shown in every photo, we can’t wait to show you more. Beautiful blue bridesmaids dresses and a yummy chocolate cake were made by the bride and grooms family members! We loved decorating the church with an archway of flowers and at Prestwold we made footed bowl arrangements.

Our Mother’s Day flower gift bouquets are now available to purchase from our website, we have 3 flower bunches that we can include delivery within Leicestershire and a collection only bouquet to be picked up from our Rearsby floristry studio.

We will be at The Navigation Inn Barrow upon Soar for a Spring Wreath Making Workshop 🌷

When? Wednesday 26th March at 6.30pm
Cost £45pp

This is a fabulous experience where we will show you how to make a wreath using spring flower bulbs, greenery, moss and dried materials.

Come on your own, with friends or family, the ticket price includes a soft drink, we would love to see you there!

Peonies, Foxgloves, Ranunculus, Cornflowers and other seasonal late spring/ early summer flowers were used for this beautiful pastel June wedding brief, looking back it had a Bridgeton vibes! Thanks to for these exquisitely beautiful flowers handpicked from their walled garden in Leicestershire.
It’s a rare request to be asked to make a bridal flower crown and one where i had a free hand to use choose fairly large flowers and make a statement crown 👑
I loved making it, it looked gorgeous on Kate and we loved her dress.

Meadow Flower Arrangements
This year the organic and wild nature of the meadow arrangement is really popular for us. These flowers photos were taken a few years ago for a wedding we did at . It was late spring and we had the brief of beautiful pastel wild and seasonal flowers.

In a few weeks time we get the opportunity to make a feature flower meadow for a wedding ceremony area to be then moved to sit under the top table. I am so excited to choose the spring flowers in the couples brief and create this wonderful display! Keep a look out in our stories wedding season for us is almost here!

Another of our favourite wedding venues is and last June we got to make a beautiful wedding cloud for D & S. I remember arriving and i had part made it. I hadn’t quite thought how on my own I could climb up the ladder attach it one side and then fix the other side. The West Mill team were so wonderful and helped me secure it in place 😮‍💨. Flower clouds work so well in their ceremony room and you can then move it to use above the top table in the reception area.

We used ivory garden roses they smelled amazing by , veronica, gypsophila, lisanthus and greenery.

Lilac and Ivory Spring Wedding
We have been looking back at our weddings and in May 2022 we made a beautiful lilac and ivory shower bouquet for Hannah and Daniel’s wedding

The lilac ‘nightingale’ roses were just the right shade of a mauve lilac rose - they were absolutely stunning.
The bouquet smelt amazing with ivory freesia’s and early peonies!

Because lilacs have one of the earliest bloom times, they symbolize spring and renewal.

Another favourite wedding venue of ours is , it lends itself to any style; relaxed, formal, elegant, bright and bold for whatever your heart desires. We were there creating flower dreams for a few weddings last year and in August we enjoyed making flowers for H&A who wanted seasonal pale pink, oranges, ivorys, sage greens, soft jewel like colours and to include if possible a favourite sentimental flower crocosmia which we did.
We had lots of beautiful crystal glass vases to fill and spread throughout the venue, the colours together looked gorgeous and like a summer garden.
We made a flower cloud for the ceremony room which was filled with so many different varieties of flowers and lots of lush greenery. We remember each wedding for their unique difference and we will be back at Westmill in the Spring and we can’t wait ☺️🌷

We had the pleasure of decorating last August 24 for A&A’s 💍 with ivory and green colour scheme. We made a huge doorway arch full of roses, wild seasonal flowers and greenery hand picked from walled garden which was the perfect place for lots of photos!
We decorated the huge fireplace in the reception, the reception tables were adorned with candle light and ‘million star’ gypsophila and finally for the ceremony room we made a focal pieces to frame the stone doorway arch at the end of the aisle and a ceremony table piece with our favourite ivory flowers for a beautiful display.

Our first wedding of the year is early March and we just can’t wait to get started!
We have lots of spring weddings this year and we have planted our own spring bulbs 🌷of Narcissus, Grape Hyacinths and Tulips! The varieties we have chose are some money can’t buy cut flowers so we are hoping that we have some to use for our weddings. We have some of our early bulbs already poking through 🤭
We love this years wedding trends include; classic, luxurious fabrics, natural flowing hair, glowing makeup, tuxedos, natural flowers in one colour dimension or maybe in contrast bright and bold seasonal bouquets, photos capturing motion pictures and sharing artistic deserts for cakes!

Thank You to all our followers and supporters for another wonderful year of floristry. We have enjoyed making flower wedding dreams come true, encouraging others to create beautiful things with flowers, working together as friends and supporting some amazing animal rescue charities!
This has to be one of my favourite photos of a wonderful wedding celebration 🥳
Next Year 2025 we look forward to lots and lots of spring weddings to start us off, seeing our own home grown flowers 🌷 pop up, creating new flower installation pieces, collecting gorgeous flowers from hall, planning and arranging workshops and meeting new bride/groom teams to create some more dream flowers!

Let’s talk about caramel tulips and toffee roses for this weekends wedding bouquet for Rebecca and Andrew. .
