✨PERFORM FOR A CAUSE - PERFORMER SPOTLIGHT✨

Last weeks event welcomed many amazing performances. This weeks spotlight is on dancer Paige Jemma Harris.

This was Paige’s first Perform For A Cause event and she certainly didn’t disappoint. Bringing Traditional Jazz and Pointe Ballet to the event really added something extra to the night. She also touched hearts with her personal story towards the meaning of the event ‘su***de awareness in students and young people’.

Paige really enjoyed the night and said ‘This event was so fun to be part of and I was honoured to be able to bring awareness to such an important topic. Being able to do this through dance was even more special to me. I always aim to spread joy through my dancing and this was a great way to do just that.’

We loved having you Paige and can’t wait to see what you have to offer in future!!

🎤WHAT A NIGHT🎤

Another amazing Perform for a Cause event went off with a blast last night. This time raising awareness of su***de in young people and students. A huge thank you to each and every performer and creative involved in making it such a fantastic success. Hard work, dedication and enthusiasm really pays off.

An evening of Singing, Dancing, Music and Comedy that couldn't have happened without all of the audience support and your donations. Not to mention a huge thank you to De Montfort University Leicester for their continual support in helping events like this happen. A great night really was had by all.

We're all still on a high but it's back to the office to plan the next big Perform for A Cause event coming your way. Meanwhile, here are last nights performers in action.

Join us on Thursday, March 20, 2025, as we turn the spotlight on this important issue. Together, we can inspire hope, spark conversations, and make a difference.

What a fantastic evening of entertainment and celebration last night. Well done to our young performers (Lexi and LVT) performing for a cause (turning the spotlight on violence against women and young girls). Amazing vocal performances from them. They raised £300 that will go towards further events in the new year.

We also enjoyed celebrating the end of a fantastic year. Charmaine and Curtis (Duo Midnight Serenade) enjoyed sharing a few of their favourite Christmas songs to round off a brilliant evening.

A massive thank you to Watson’s bar for hosting the event, Iconic team for all their support throughout the year. And all the family and friends who turned up to cheer on the performers and join in the celebrations.

Q&A with LVT - Perform For a Cause Host

Can you tell us a little about yourself and your music?

“I’m a multifaceted artist with an energetic presence. My versatility sets me apart in the entertainment world. I started performing in church, then school, and now I’m on live stages and open mic nights. My roots in Zimbabwe and my journey in Leicester shaped my sound, and I’m hungry for success in R&B, Hip-Hop, and Rap.”

What are some highlights of your career so far?
“I’ve performed at the O2 Academy Islington, supported artists like The Beatnuts and Eva Lazarus, and won the Travers Rising Star award at the Glastonblaby Festival. I’ve been featured on BBC Introducing, and I’m building my resume with music on P110, Linkup TV, and HardestBars.”

We are delighted to have her taking the lead on planning the next Perform for a cause event this month.

In a recent Q&A we asked LVT, out of all the songs you’ve written, do you have a favourite lyric?
“I just wish you knew my story, I want more than I was given. God’s got a plan, I’m just waiting on the season.”
