At Cosmopolitan Arts, we are committed to providing free music lessons, instruments and creative activities for disadvantaged children and young people in our Leicester community. As the festive season approaches, we’re planning a special Christmas event for the youth we work with.

We’re reaching out to kind-hearted individuals who may be able to help us by donating Christmas presents for these amazing children. Your generosity will bring smiles and make this festive season a little brighter for families in need.

Since its inception in 2011 under the visionary leadership of Director Amanda Leandro, Cosmopolitan Arts has been at the forefront of enhancing Leicester's cultural landscape. From the vibrant annual Cosmopolitan Arts Festival, formerly Cosmopolitan Carnival, to the dynamic oversight of Leicester Chinese New Year celebrations and the esteemed For The Love of Jazz festival, we have consistently mesmerised audiences with explosive live music, captivating dance, enchanting street theatre, and inspiring art. In 2023, our dedication earned us Non-Profit Organisation (NPO) status, a recognition bestowed by Arts Council England (ACE), solidifying our commitment to championing and celebrating the rich diversity of Leicester's arts and cultures.

We are seeking dynamic individuals to join our board and are currently also recruiting for a chair.

This presents a distinct opportunity to contribute to expanding an organisation that has evolved into a symbol of inclusivity, nurturing creativity, and advocating for the transformative influence of the arts. The board holds a pivotal role in shaping the trajectory of Cosmopolitan Arts, providing strategic counsel to the Artistic Director, ensuring governance adherence, and upholding accountability to our esteemed funders.

While this position is voluntary, reasonable expenses will be reimbursed.

We actively encourage applications from candidates with expertise in Marketing, Education, Human resources, Fundraising, Legal, Sustainability, Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion.

Overview:
The Evaluation Officer will play a key role in reporting and evaluation, taking the lead on developing frameworks to assess the impact and success of all funded initiatives, including ACE NPO projects. This role will focus on gathering and analysing data from events and programs, producing detailed reports for stakeholders, and ensuring all project objectives are met. In addition to evaluation, the officer will support event logistics, assist with grant applications, and contribute to business development by identifying new opportunities, while also managing facility operations to maintain a secure, welcoming environment.
