An opportunity for a Head Chef with proven experience in Dine in and Takeaway - has arisen in our famous and well renowned organisation. The role requires the candidate to supervise, organise and instructs kitchen staff to prepare the food for the takeaway and catering service and to manage the running of the whole kitchen smoothly to achieve a variety of food dishes which will help the business to expand and achieve financial growth.
Due to continued growth in the food sector and business and especially demand after the COVID – 19 restrictions are lifted, we are seeking to recruit a Head Chef in our organisation.
The successful candidate will bring new concepts for traditional Asian and Indian food especially curry’s, biryani etc.
Responsibilities: -
Responsibilities for a Head Chef:
• Plans menus, prepares, seasons and cooks foodstuffs or oversees their preparation and monitors the quality of finished dishes to maintain the standard of the food;
• Ensures relevant hygiene and health and safety standards are maintained within the kitchen at all the times;
• Approving and polishing dishes before they reach the customer;
• Creating menu items, recipes and developing dishes ensuring variety and quality;
• Managing and working closely with other kitchen staff of all levels;
• Controlling and directing the food preparation process;
• Requisitions and / or purchases and examines foodstuffs from suppliers to ensure quality is maintained for takeaway and catering services;
• Liaise with customers and corporate clients for finalizing the menus for their events;
• Plans and co-ordinates kitchen work such as fetching, clearing and cleaning of equipment and utensils before closing the kitchen to make sure it is ready for the next day operation;

Education/Qualification: -
An experienced passionate Head Chef with a proven track record, who has an eye for detail, and the ability to work under pressure is required.
At least 5 years proven track record as a Head Chef in the Food, Restaurant and Catering Industry
Language: -
The Applicants should be fluent in English. The Knowledge of other languages like Gujarati, Hindi and Urdu would be advantageous as most of our customers speak these languages.
Timings: -
General working hours are 8 am to 4 pm, however flexibility will be required from time to time and ability to do overtime.
