The UK & Ireland Society of Ophthalmic Professions (UKISOP) programme runs at the UKISCRS Congress on Thursday 28th November.
Rebecca Turner, UKISOP President says "The overall learning objective of this programme is for Ophthalmic Professional's to, in conjunction with UKISCRS celebration of the 75th anniversary of Harold Ridleys first intra-ocular lens implant, explore the cataract pathway. In particular, and through the use of clinical case studies, we will commemorate the part played by the Ophthalmic Professionals in patients care from referral to recovery".

Supported by Daybreak Medical the YOP day on Wednesday 27th November has a fantastic lineup of speakers and topics. Sessions include: ​'Transitioning to consultant practice' & 'Optimising your cataract surgery outcomes'.

UKISCRS has launched a dedicated micro-site for the 48th annual congress, which will also mark the 75th anniversary of the IOL.

I wouldn't usually do this, publicly, but Lloyds Banking Group have just told me that there is nothing they can do to help me recover these fraudulent transactions.
Apparently because I do have some Apple genuine payments they cannot verify these (just a snap shot of the 80 plus that went out of my account on 25th April to show how obvious it is; they were leaving my account every few seconds whilst I was on the phone to the Fraud team).
They originally reimbursed me (total £800 +) but then took it back out of my account 2 days before my wedding on 23/5/24 without notice or advice, putting me £450 into an overdraft I don't use and taking my pre-wedding money, because they said the payments matched my IP address at home. Interestingly, I was away on a course with Dean Williams and nobody was in the house on 25/4/24. They don't seem interested in that Financial Ombudsman Service?
So some thieves from somewhere around the world have stolen from me, and one of the biggest banking groups in the world will not do anything about it. Apple don't want to help either.
Please can anybody help me with future steps because whilst I can leave Lloyds and report my disgust on social media platforms... it does not help me get my stolen money back.
What if this was mortgage or food money? Someone in dire straits... I cannot believe Lloyds. What a way to treat their customers.

On Wednesday 19th June the South Lancs branch of the Motor Neurone Disease Association will be screening the famous Top Gun Maverick. This free event is designed to help shed light on MND (Motor Neurone Disease) and its impact on individuals and families.

The incredible cinema venue at Birchwood Park is fully limited mobility accessible, and everything on the evening, including the entry to the event, parking, a beer or a glass of wine, tea and coffee and even cinema snacks are all fully included at no cost as this event has been set up with the intention of raising awareness of MND / ALS.
