🔀 DAVENTRY STEP IN 🔀

A huge thank you to Daventry RFC who are sending their 2nd XV to town on Saturday afternoon following the withdrawal of our original opponents South Leicester Rugby Union Football Club - kick off is 2.15pm

We send our best wishes to South Leicester and hope to see them back on the park very soon. With that withdrawal, Buzzards collect the 5 league points for a walkover and bring up 60 league points.

Elsewhere in the league this weekend, 2nd place Rugby Welsh RFC have their bye weekend while 3rd place Rugby Lions RFC welcome Deepings Rugby Union F.C.

Fourth place Luton Rugby await the visit of the leagues entertainers, Sileby Vikings Rfc who are hot on the heels of a dramatic late win against Stamford College Old Boys RFC

The tradition dates back to 1801, when a group of Burns's friends gathered to commemorate the fifth anniversary of his death. They recited his poems, shared stories, and enjoyed a hearty meal that included haggis, whisky, and Scottish music. The event was such a success that it became an annual celebration, and over time, it evolved into the Burns Night we know today. 📖

It's celebrated to honor the life and legacy of Robert Burns, widely regarded as Scotland's national poet. Known as "The Bard of Ayrshire" or simply "The Bard," Burns wrote poetry and songs that captured themes of love, nature, social justice, and Scottish identity, often in Scots dialect.
