And not to keep harping on about bloody Valentines BUT …these are a few left overs from 3 weeks ago that are still looking fabulous! Granted the shop is cold so I wouldn’t expect many to have lasted this long in your homes but Mr Bits and Buds still has 1 left from his bouquet from me too! I’m impressed!

There’s been a lovely little flutter of new Budders join our flower cult….sorry I mean community, and I wanted to re introduce myself xx

🌹I’m passionate to a fault about Bits and Buds, at this point it’s basically my whole personality not just a job. You get a real piece of my heart with every order you make or flower you receive

🍫I’m a chocoholic! When wispa golds were invented and released to the world was one of my best days ever

🏢I’ve never had an office job! 41 years and counting

👩🏻‍🎤 I could listen to Goldfrapp, David Bowie, Lady Gaga and Blondie on repeat for at least 4 days straight I reckon

💃I’m a freak on the dance floor! To me every bop is the chance to move like I’m some sort of Britney Spears backing dancer from the 00’s

I hung washing outside today!!!! OUTSIDE!!!

I don’t think I’m too bothered by the long dark days of winter until BOOM every year when we get a day like this I remember how like a tonic it is! Literally start feeling the funk lifting, how about you?

My family of boys hate it of course because I start spring cleaning! I’ve made them clean their doors and light switches this afternoon. Lucky them 😂🧹🫧

Well who am I to judge if you lot just weren’t done with being romantic after Valentine’s Day 😍

I had a few really beautiful orders for today that both included all the flowers of love! Stunning.

I’m sold out for tomorrow now but you can come and say hello to me at the Leighton buzzard rugby club. I’ll be there with a host of other fabulous suppliers to show off their events space.

My lovely Budders I’m taking a full and well earned day off tomorrow, properly off, not looking at emails, answering the phone, taking orders cleaning buckets, updating websites or anything!

I’m still a bit spent after Valentine’s Day and the adrenaline still keeps kicking in after being robbed so I’m having a re set day with my boys. Any one got any good suggestions of things to do or places to visit let me know xx

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for all your orders this Valentine’s plus your rallying cries and messages and for keeping me hydrated throughout!

I have loved every single bouquet I’ve made for you all, your card messages made us all warm and fuzzy and your online love has blown us away!

Nothing can dampen my feelings towards you Budders! I’m exhausted and everything aches but I’m so so proud to be your chosen florist this year!

I’ll be hopping on over to the flower suppliers in the morning to top up the stand and keep spreading the love with flowers with you all ###

She’s moved a little further away but still helps me at busy peaks like valentines. She’s a total seeet heart and even bought me a gorgeous scented candle to keep me calm after yesterday’s little hiccup.

Well today will go down as one of the sh*ttier Valentine’s prep days in my shop career. If you’ve not seen on my stories I got robbed…literally…daylight robbery. Almost £400 worth of product.

However, on the bright side, no one got hurt and The little turd didn’t manage to get away with any of my orders only grab and go bouquets….whole new meaning there hey?!

I made a scene, I shouted all the most offensive swears to draw attention to him as he ran away down the road and my community were truly heart warming!

So much support from my fellow shop buddies, customers stopped in to check on me, strangers took time out of their day to look after me in the moment…and came back again to check in later ❤️ and my darling Saturday girl Bella bought me coffee and friends and family bought me food.

I think it’s important that the public know how vulnerable small businesses and florists in particular are during Valentine’s Day. We constantly get slated about prices that we have no control over and we are targeted EVERY SINGLE YEAR by thieves.

I’m not scared of them, I expect them and it’s never a case of if, it’s always a case of when! If it hadn’t been me it would have been some other bu**er.

Well thank fully I know I’m in a town that looks after each other too and I get to make the most stunning bouquets for my wonderful, loyal customers who do value the time, effort and love that I put into every single flower I touch. I value you guys too ###

Tomorrow I spread the love far and wide and can’t wait to start again and let this one get chalked down to experience.
