One of my most beautiful weddings last summer 💕

If you’re dreaming of an English countryside wedding, it doesn’t get any better than this! Shayna, who works in ecommerce, an Marc, a trader at a bank, live in the US, but given that Marc is from London a destination wedding in England was a natural choice. And who wouldn’t want to make things...

The garden seems to know best when to start sowing seeds for the coming season. If you are working with a simple unheated tunnel and greenhouse be guided by your garden. I began sowing trays of annuals last week to coincide with the first muscari, fritillary, Californian poppy and small narcissi.

Behind the scenes excitement is building as the first arrivals of dahlia tubers arrived yesterday. Every couple of years I treat myself and the garden to a myriad collection of new dahlia tubers. This year I focussed on increasing my pom pom and ball collection, sticking with easy to work with and in a delicious colour palette. And of course the leading lady or Queen of dahlias ‘Cafe au Lait’ has been topped up too. A cold front seems to be on its way, so today I’ll be potting up the tubers and tucking them under fleece for possibly another month before planting them out. Actually I started this post to show you some beautiful photos taken by the brilliant photographer Andrea who I will be running a couple of early summer flower photography courses - here in my flower field and wild and rambling garden and studio. We’d love to have you - please see link above in my bio for booking. 🌸
