Carousel Disco is coming up to 30yrs old.
From the Christmas party nights at the Lundin Links hotel, the kids birthday parties at The Rosie Halls, Denbeath Club.
The school discos from as far as Anstruther to Rosyth
The weddings and party nights from Dumfries, Musselburgh and even Arbroath.
Our first hogmanay night at Buckhaven centre, I was only supposed to do the final 2 hrs on the night but the accordion player had to leave early so I did the whole night. I did the next few up to and including the millennium. The nights stopped that's why we decided to try it ourselves. The rest they say is history lol.
Weddings, birthday parties, then there's the Lodge nights in Buckhaven centre, CISWO, even Broxburn.
Then there were the charity nights. Some with singers, tribute acts and bands, great nights raising lots of money for great causes.
I have two great night's coming up next month, a wedding and a 60th before I take up full residency at The Studio Weddings
Carousel Disco isn't stopping, I still get a buzz and a bit of the jitters that I got when I first started doing discos at Memorial Park Neighbourhood Centre, Methil when I was 14/15 years old many many many years ago.
From the vynil days till now, I've seen many changes, mainly my gear got lighter, well, slightly lol.
So from a 14 year old in 1975 to going on my own in 1996 with Carousel, I'd like to think I have a fair bit of experience.
Here's to the next 30........20..........10......few years lol.
