Our Client Relations Manager, Dawn has been having lots of fun at Kiddie Capers, running her Rainow Pizza class! As well as teaching children how to make their very own Rainbow Pizza, she teaches them why it is important to eat a variety of colours when it comes to fruit and veg 🙂

There are many opinions on when and how to introduce babies to food and each baby takes to the weaning journey in their own individual way!

Join our Nutrition Consultant, Charlotte Stirling-Reed as she talks through the weaning process as a whole covering foods, textures, methods and feeding safety.

Topics covered will include:

👩‍🍼Feeding babies – why do they need different foods?
👶 Purees vs baby led weaning – what’s the difference and which is best?
🍌What foods first
🍛 Moving on with foods – combining flavours and offering a variety
🍲 Moving through textures – the importance of doing this
🥕 Finger food importance – what to go for, why they matter
❌️ Choking vs gagging – foods to avoid
⛑️ Mealtime safety to prevent choking and keep baby safe

The presentation will last for around 30 minutes followed by a 20-minute Q&A session with Charlotte who will be joined by Alastair from our Client Relations Team. The session is suitable for nursery staff and parents too 🙂

This Tuesday in Healthy Eating Week, it is all about staying hydrated. We can all aim for 6 to 8 drinks a day, but encouraging children to keep up their fluids can be tricky. In Summer it's particularly important.
