What a insanely busy week across all our catering

At Lewes Golf Club 1896 we had a fantastic charity day on Monday hosted by The Rotary Club of Lewes

We have had several society bookings throughout the week.

And to top it off a fantastic wedding for Liv & Dan at The Cherry Barn. Canapés, 3 course meal and a evening bbq.

To everyone that has helped me through this week I truly appreciate all your hard work I certainly can’t do it alone. Love you all 🙌🙌

We had a great day at Lewes Golf Club 1896 The Rotary Club of Lewes ran a charity day raising thousands (amazing effort)

We were delighted to put together a mixed buffet for all the participants

Good morning all.

Just a update on what we will be offering moving forward as a delivery service

We are offering

Our business lunch buffets, our Individual buffet boxes and a range of cheesecakes,

Our delivery days will be Monday to Friday (bookings dependant) ideally orders need to be placed 48 hours before but giving as much notice as possible would be great.

There will be a small delivery charge of £2.50 per order and also a minimum of 8 people per order for the business buffet or a minimum order of £50

Smoked salmon Bellini’s,
Goats cheese and red pepper bruschetta,
Asparagus and mushroom tartlet

3 course wedding breakfast

Baked Mini Camembert, Onion Jam, Garlic Bread Fingers

Mains:

Roast Chicken, Dauphinoise Potatoes, Roast Carrot, Field Mushroom And A Red Wine Sauce

Spiced Root Vegetables, Lentil Tagine,
Jewelled Couscous, Mint Yogurt And Pitta Bread

Dessert:

Sticky Toffee Pudding, Toffee Sauce And Ice Cream.

We were at the stunning Gildredge Manor

Congratulations to Fiona and Mark a very relax day.

After serving our canapés we had a bbq including jumbo hot dogs, beef burgers, marinated chicken thighs.

With a nice selection of salads.

Busy day in the kitchen with a food tasting.

On the menu today was

Chicken souvlaki skewers
Glazed ham with maple and mayo

Fried Halloumi
Falafel

Sausage rolls + chutney meat/veggie option
Quiche - Tomato, Basil and Parmesan
Cheese straw
Artisan bread

Salads

Butternut squash/sweet potato, kale, pomegranate + tahini

Wild rice, peas, pepper, flaked almonds + French dressing

Roast veg and turmeric cous cous mint and parsley

Green bean salad - edamame, green beans, sugar snap peas, garden peas + lemon oil dressing

Love meeting the couples and talking through their plans for the day.

We were delighted to cater for Abbie and Adam’s wedding.

Lewes Golf Club Raises £8,000 for Local Charities!

We are delighted to announce that Lewes Golf Club has raised a fantastic £8,000 for two worthy local charities!

The beneficiaries of this generous sum are Friends of Lewes Victoria Hospital and Prostate Cancer UK. The money was raised through a variety of fundraising activities throughout the year, including a £2,000 contribution from the Brighton Half Marathon in March 2023.

Hi all.

I hope all is well.

We are a Local wedding and events catering company www.marksmealsweddingsandevents.com looking for a part time chef to start with for the season ahead,

Events can vary from sit down meals, canapé reception, buffets, hog roasts, bbq’s etc.

The Chef needed will help with the prep before a wedding/event and help on the day with plating, setting up etc, extra shifts at a local golf course I provide the catering for too.

Pay will be dependent on experience and age but you must be at least 18 years of age

What a fantastic evening it was at Lewes town hall for Waterloo bonfires 60th diamond dinner.

The room looked fantastic

We served up a 3 course meal

Starters

Ham hock and pea terrine, crisp toast, piccalilli, dressed salad leaves.

Smocked salmon, prawns, horseradish cream cheese, lime vinaigrette, bitter leaves and dill.

Smashed avocado crostini with tomato, mozzarella, fresh basil and balsamic glaze. (V)

Mains

Roasted chicken breast, dauphinois potatoes, portobello mushroom, roasted carrot, red wine sauce.

Slow roasted lamb shoulder, dauphinois potatoes, roasted shallot, broccoli, mint gravy.

Baked halloumi cheese, chickpeas, Mediterranean vegetables, tomatoes pesto, rustic bread (V)

Desserts

Lemon tart, fresh raspberries, berry coulis, vanilla cream.

Banoffee pie, biscuit base, banana, caramel sauce, whipped cream.

Mini trio – Eton mess, brownie, cheesecake.

Followed by.

Cheese and biscuits platter tea/coffee
