Had a lovely morning at The Old Horn Inn - Spennithorne with ladies from the local area creating a lovely Christmas Wreath. A few of the ladies had never made a wreath before, but what talent! Thank you to Mirela for the wonderful vegetable soup; it was delicious!

Can't believe it's a year since I was lucky enough to be selected as a volunteer to assist at the 2023 Floristry World championships in Manchester. Really talented, international florists at the top of their game. The demonstrations were so inspiring too.

Autumn wreath made up today as a demonstration for a potential workshop in October. Just love the autumn colours! Pumpkins purchased from a local farm last year and photographed in the garden.

Preparations are now underway! I shall be attending an autumn craft fair taking place at Northallerton Town Hall on Saturday 14 September. First wreath completed with faux foliage, pumpkin, dried fern/hydrangea, apples and pine cones. Details of other items in progress to be shared shortly.

Nothing signifies the start of spring than the daffodil. We have a number of varieties in the garden which are now beginning to appear. The wooden tray with glass bowls came from a local charity shop. A different way to display flowers than the usual vase!
