💖Happy New Year my fabulous flower friends💖

I hope you had a wonderful time throughout Christmas and the new year.

Ours was lovely however, I'm sad to say we have a really nasty winter flu type bug that started in our New Year visit to the amazing city of Budapest...and it's making no sign of leaving us, hence being very quiet here.

so, for now, my best friends are antibiotics, cough medicine and pain killers, staying warm and hydrating. I will be so happy to feel better! My poor Butler hasn't escaped either bless him.

I really look forward to feeling well and being in my studio ready to prepare and create your monthly subscription flowers. For here are a very few images with my beautiful Kent family in the amazing city of Budapest.

We wish you peace, happiness and most of all, health for the coming year.

Fondly

It’s that time when we look back at what we’ve been up to and what the new year may bring.

For me and the butler, it’s more time with our family and dear friends. David will be 76 in January so it’s time to spread wings and do all sorts of lovely things together.

This means I’ll be creating my beautiful flowers for you all just once a month with my Parlour subscriptions. I’ll pop the diary up in case you’d like a one off bouquet ‘just because’. 11th January is the first subscription date of 2025.

Flowers will always be my passion - my addiction if you like, that will never change, so I need to keep working with them.

And so my friends, here’s to a fabulous year filled with the promise of adventure, happiness and the best of health shared with everyone you love.

✨⭐️🌹 HAPPY NEW YEAR 🌹⭐️✨

With much love from Jan and the butler ###

It’s been a really busy time here in the Parlour getting ready for Christmas. It’s been such a lovely time with my cosy wreath making workshops, subscription bouquets and other beautiful festive arrangements.

I’ve also had a very poorly sister. She had surgery and is due for more after Christmas so it’s been a bit of a balancing trick getting everything done.

So for now, just look at these gorgeous wreaths created in the Parlour studio by some of my fabulous clients 🥰🎄

PS
Closing for Christmas in the studio is Saturday 21st December at 1pm.

We're getting a little festive twinkle in the eye here in the studio as we start taking orders for the festive wreath making season.

I hand make all my wreaths with plenty of lush seasonal foliage and dashes of colourful decor for approximately 16 inches of fabulous colours and wintery scents.

What will you choose this year:

- Traditional Country Style - a festive flush of dried fruits and cinammon sticks for the traditional welcome to your home this Christmas.
- Winter Welcome Wreath - mixing copper and rose gold tones for a modern twist.
- Scandi Style Winter Wreath - combing blue tones of eucalyptus with dashes of white and silver decor.

Or - something completely different for anyone wanting a warm welcome without the wreath, try my festive Christmas Sheaf - 24-28 inches of luxurious colour and foliage.

*Images are representative only. Every order is handmade with a ribbon of your choice.

Order from my online shop - link in my profile.
Collection from Fradley.

I want to shout out a huge Thank You to my fabulous supplier flowervision.birmingham ❣️

Last night was special because it was their very first late shopping evening for their clients. Of course I just had to go and check out their Christmas goodies…. 🎄 We were welcomed with piping hot coffee and a delicious cupcake, so welcome after a busy day. And the Butler had chance to chat with the team while I mooched around their enormous fresh flower fridge. It was heavenly… of course I bought some back to parlour!

It was so good to catch up with the FV team, they are so helpful and always go the extra mile. Such a lovely bunch of people… pun most definitely intended. Thank you again you lovely people.

And so, my friends, it won’t be long before I share my Christmas pretties with you. I can’t wait!

Can you believe it's already time for my first festive post of the year?! 🎄

Even though it's the first time I've listed my fabulous festive wreath workshop, I'm already almost sold out. But it's not too late. I've got a few spaces left on the 21 November.

If you want to spend a lovely couple of hours creating your own Christmas wreath, enjoying a tipple and a mince pie or two, and having a laugh with your friends or family, book in now and grab the last few slots of 2024.

Just message me for the details.

Sending Samhain Blessings to you all 😀
It’s a time when the veils between worlds are thin, making it easier to communicate with our ancestors.

Take some time today to remember those who have come before in order to create YOU!

Generation after generation all so that you can be here at this transformational time 🙏

You may want to light a candle for them and/or sit quietly and meditate with them 😍

Samhain also marks the end and beginning of the Celtic year so you may be feeling ‘new year’ energy.

I have felt inspired to declutter and tidy!

It’s a great time to re-set your vision for the future - watch this space for news on a masterclass on doing that coming soon 🤩

Happy Samhain 🩷

Have you dressed your pumpkin ready for Halloween?

If you haven’t, here’s how I’m dressing them this year. I leave the pumpkin whole, so we’re still able to cook with it but it’s gorgeous for your autumn display.

Thought the year I dry lots of stems - flowers, grasses and leaves. They are perfect for a pretty project just like this.

It’s really simple…. simply ask and I’ll share how I make them.

Hello!

How are you?

It’s been a funny old month here in the parlour. We arrived home to September subscription flowers, we lost internet for a week, I fell over… I’m fine but I was a tad bruised and battered, nothing broken thankfully and back to my normal self.

October’s subscription vases are just leaving and I just had to share a few of them with you!

I absolutely adore this palette. I’ve chosen birthstones as my colour inspiration.

I hope you agree that this month’s are just delicious.

Hello my friends.

We start our journey across the sea today and we’ll finally be back to our wonderful home and my fabulous Parlour on Monday.

We hit the ground running with a delivery of beautiful stems on Monday ready for lots of orders next week. And remember it’s September Parlour Subscription flowers on Saturday 21st, so you still have time to join me for those.

I am having a problem receiving emails, so if you need to contact me, just pop me a private message here.

In the meantime, this was the start of our journey aboard the beautiful Sky Princess. Fizz and a mojito was the perfect welcome.

See you soon 💐 xx
