KP Events is a specialist community and sports events management company run by Paul Griffin and Kevin Wilson. Formally Sport 1st Events, the team have managed numerous events including the Lichfield Half-Marathon, Xtreme Challenge all-terrain, Fradley 10k, Sutton Park 10K, Kingsbury Water Park 10k, The Lichfield Dash, etc. Based in the center of the UK, in the city of Lichfield, KP Events has a l

ong pedigree of sporting events going back to 1998 when they created the unique Lichfield Cathedral Dash. A key event of Lichfield’s sporting (and cultural) calendar, the ‘Dash’ is a flagship event – raising money for numerous local charities.

Thank you all once again for attending a fantastic day at the Tamworth 10k on Sunday, and for all of the positive feedback so far.

The Tamworth 10k course has previously been officially measured. It would seem the turnaround cone may have been slightly in the wrong position from previous years. GPS is fairly unreliable and there seems to be a discrepancy of between 10 metres & 100 metres. We apologise for this. We have taken all comments on board and will make any necessary corrections for next year.

Thank you to all who took part in the Tamworth 10k yesterday! What a great morning, and wonderful weather ✨️

Local athlete Marcin Rydzewski from Tamworth AC won the Tamworth 10k in near perfect sunny autumnal running conditions, winning in a fast time of 35:13 and followed closely home in second by Mara Run Club Founder and Coach, George Bettany in a time of 35:33. Third home was Richard Coleman in 36:29.

First female home was Laura Dutton of Run 4U in a time of 39:36. Second female athlete home was Rebecca Harrison of City of Stoke A/C in 40:52. and third female home was Catherine Glover in 43:07.

Get ready! Just 1 more sleep until the Tamworth 10K 2024 🥳

Starting and finishing in the beautiful grounds surrounding Tamworth Castle, the route winds its way through the grounds and out into the town before following a section along the canal in Fazeley, then returning to the Castle Grounds to finish.

❓ Q: Where is my race number? 🤷‍♀️
📢 A: Race numbers are sent out anywhere between 7-14 days before race day. If you have still not received your race number, please contact [email protected]. DO NOT give anyone else your race number this will lead to being instantly disqualified.

❓ Q: Can I enter on the day? 🤷‍♀️
📢 A: There will be entries available on the day. However due to extremely high demand, there may not be bespoke medals available for those who enter on the day. Please see our pinned post for more details. Our registration desk opens at the starting line at 9am. Entry is £25.00 (cash only). 🏃‍♂️

❓ Q: Can I wear headphones or listen to music at a KP Events race? 🎧
📢 A: For Health and safety reasons, we requested that you do not listen to music with headphones, with the exception of jaw bone conduction headphones.

❓ Q: Will there be a goody bag for all finishers at KP Events races? 🏅
📢 A: Yes, runners at the Tamworth 10K 2024 will receive a bespoke medal, KP Events branded baseball cap, chocolate, banana, and bottled water.

❗ TAMWORTH 10K ENTRY UPDATE ❗

Due to extremely high demand for this years Tamworth 10k we unfortunately had to close entry early. However, we really don’t want to turn away runners who would still like to take part.

So we have taken the decision to take additional entries on race day on the condition that you accept that a medal is not guaranteed when you cross the finish line.

For additional entries, your race number will say “NO MEDAL”. However this doesn’t necessarily mean that you won’t receive one. This will depend on how many already registered runners don’t show up on race day, which will free up medals that are already allocated.

This really is the only option to allow more people to take part. We hope we can present all additional runners with a medal, but please only come along if you accept these terms. Thank you so much for your understanding.

We hope to see you on race day!

The registration desk opens at the starting line at 9am. Entry is £25.00 (cash only).
