"The reason we went for an independent Celebrant led wedding was that we wanted a wedding ceremony that represented who we were. At the time, the options were a registrar (where the ceremony would have to be entirely secular with no cultural bits) or a humanist Celebrant (the ceremony did not fit it for us) or a priest (too religious for 2 people who were agnostic).

We wanted someone who could help us join the cultural elements we wanted in the ceremony while still keeping the ceremony close to who we were as a couple. An independent celebrant like Sonal did that really well and our guests were amazed that such a ceremony could exist!"

Haven't posted for ages, life has been hectic. But sitting here smiling in the sunshine because I am hearing from people who want to book their wedding. Lets be clear - Your wedding can be utterly individual and completely your own thing. You do not have to do anything the same as everyone else. Or you can if you want. Main thing is its your choice. Let's get the show on the road .

Have a look at this! totally upcycled and fab. You can take this lot anywhere as long as you have a truck to put it on and exchange your vows anywhere. Obviously land owners permission required but apart from that, if you choose a celebrant lead wedding you can go for it. Also if you choose me to conduct it I have wellies and will travel. 🙂

A friend asked me today how can we celebrants gather the emotional strength to conduct a funeral.
For me it's simple, everyone deserves the best send off that they can possibly have. Everyone mourning their loved one deserves a point in time to say goodbye and to open up to their grief in whatever way they wish. My job is to make that possible by choosing the right words. Today's funeral was full of tears, laughter, wry smiles and nods of recognition among the family and friends as we paid tribute. I am honoured to be able to work with families to make the funeral the best it can be.

EMBRACING NATURE// There are an increasing number of outdoorsy couples who love being surrounded by nature and want to hold their wedding ceremony in a location they feel comfortable.

Wedding last Saturday was so lovely, family oriented with the children playing a major part as ring bearers and pageboy. All three lads and their Dad dressed in identical suits and looking fab. Lovely music and a clear blue sky for an intimate and emotional ceremony completely crafted to be personal to Bride and Groom. Still smiling from ear to ear at the memory.

I've got a feeling that there is a lot of LOVE out there right now. Guess if you have spent the last year in lock down together without a cross word, then that's a good start for a married life.
