We had the absolute pleasure of hosting Mell and Dylans wedding this May in our Edwardian suite and courtyard. Mell and Dylan were an absolute delight to work with throughout their wedding planning journey, and would you believe they made the table centres and décor themselves?!

My Dearest Readers,

It is with great delight (and a flourish of my quill) that I announce the return of the most anticipated event of the season: The Bridgerton Style Ball shall once more grace us this autumn—expect splendour, scandal, and sparkle.

Mark your calendars for Friday 26th, Saturday 27th, and Sunday 28th September 2025.

Friday’s affair begins at 18:30 with a most elegant banquet (with GF/DF/VE options), followed by an evening of Regency music and dancing. Regency attire, of course, is quite mandatory—modern garments would cause quite the stir.

Saturday brings further delights:
A Bridgerton-themed talk (included with ticket)
Afternoon Teas at 12:00 and 14:15
Dance Lessons at 13:45 and 16:00

The Main Ball returns on Saturday at 19:00.
Expect horse and carriage rides, exquisite music, sweet canapés, and fine cocktails. A photographer shall be present to capture your most radiant—and most scandalous—moments. Her Majesty the Queen shall attend, in search of this Season’s Diamond. Take care not to sit upon her throne, unless you dare risk her wrath.

And to close our weekend in perfect harmony…
We are most pleased to announce that the Lincoln Pro Musica Orchestra shall perform on Sunday at 3pm, presenting Music for Wind Ensemble by Mozart and Beethoven. A refined end to a most glittering weekend. Tickets are available now via Fatsoma or at the door on the day.

As midsummer casts its golden glow across the evening sky, join us for a night of enchantment beneath the orange and pink hues of a lingering sunset.

This will be the first in our series of immersive fairytale gatherings — a celebration of wonder, imagination, and magic. Our venue, the historic Country Assembly Rooms in the heart of Lincoln’s medieval quarter, will be transformed into a spellbinding realm, echoing the splendour of the nearby castle and cathedral. Dressed in its midsummer finery, it will reflect your own creativity and magical attire.

Doors open at 7:00 PM, where your journey into the fantastical begins.

Whether you are a Wizard, Dryad, Fairy Queen, Elven King, Nymph, Pixie, or Dwarf, all magical beings are welcome — even well-behaved enchanted creatures.

Your evening begins with a welcome summer fruit cocktail and the chance to capture your look at one of our themed photography backdrops. Then, as you are summoned into the Ballroom, you will enter a scene from a dream — countless candles flickering on tables, walls, and even floating in the air above.

The banquet will be served on shared platters: a cold meat feast with fresh breads, savoury meats, and our chef’s legendary sausage rolls. (Dietary requirements are happily catered for — just let us know in advance.)

In true wizarding fashion, guests will dine at tables of twenty, so expect to meet a marvellous variety of magical folk.

After the feast, be transported by the ethereal voice of Alice Strange — formerly of Alice’s Night Circus — as she weaves a musical spell of fairy tales, classical arias, and haunting covers. A beloved performer known for her love of costuming and theatrical flair, Alice will guide you into a night of dancing and dreamlike revelry.

This is a costumed event.
