K E R R I E // A N D // G U Y // Yesterday, with the stunning silhouette of Mount Vesuvius in the background, I got to photograph two of the absolute best get married ✨ It was the perfect day with a perfect venue and perfect weather. Thanks for letting me drag you down to the beach at sunset, both, even if it meant being late for your next course. The stairs back up to dinner is something I thought would kill us all 🤣

Yesterday, after over two years of planning, our dream Italian wedding day happened - and one of the most incredible things is that I got to have my cousin (and one of my best friends in the world) Lydia photograph it. To *these* standards. Oh, and you know what else? I got to have my other cousin Sinead - Lydia’s sister - be our celebrant. Sinead delivered a ceremony I will never ever get over. At around 20 minutes it was the perfect length and went into mine and Dan’s story with a bit of Italian thrown in, written with perfectly poetic prose, with the most incredibly clever themes and jokes laced through it all, resulting in an entire group of people sitting in a stunning vineyard snort-crying. There is so much to unpack and re-live from yesterday. It feels overwhelming regarding how incredible, hilarious, wine-fuelled, food-filled, authentically Italian, authentically us, laid back and magical it was. The sun shone all day. The food just kept coming - across six hours and seven courses. The best men’s speech was horrifying yet beyond perfect and hilarious all at the same time. I cried throughout the day - but hadn’t expected to cry at ALL. There’s so much to say. For now though, here is one of thousands of shots taken by Lydia from our 4am alarm call which initially felt like hell… until we reached the winding coastal roads and captured moments as the sun came up.

E M M A // A N D // A D A M // Friday’s wedding was an absolute stunner - the couple were gorgeous, the venue was aesthetically on point and the girls from the hen party were more than up for me taking photos of them trying a ‘Japanese Friendship Circle’ which almost resulted in them all falling into a heap on top of each other - but it turns out, they all have thighs of steel. The crowd were lively, the DJ was awesome and the whole-wedding shot train happened again ♥️

N I K K I // A N D // T O M : Saturday’s wedding was absolutely sublime! Shout out to Nige for casually rocking up with his 1965 cream MG convertible which was easily my favourite wedding car I’ve ever photographed! PS: Would you believe me if I told you that this gorgeous couple kept insisting they’d be really awkward in their photos? I hear this a LOT - let me tell you now, if you’re one of my wedding couples, no matter how uncomfortable you think you’ll be, you won’t be. I guarantee that. We have fun, I help you immediately relax, I tell awful jokes, we have a great time, then you come away from it wanting to model professionally - I promise 🖤 This couple are a perfect example of two absolute hotties who relaxed into it and absolutely delivered 😎

D A N // A N D // M A R T I N // In terms of unique and personal weddings, this one was as unique and as personal as it got ♥️ Lincoln locals, did you know that you can get married at ? Nope, neither did I! It was the most special ceremony with loads of funny and meaningful touches, followed by the biggest ever pizza delivery I’d seen courtesy of where everyone chatted, had pizza and had all the drinks. Gorgeous!

F A M I L Y // Sam and her family all gathered at the Grandparents’ house which had the most stunning gardens where we based our shoot. We made our way around the gorgeous landscaped grounds, but then at the end of the session I spied a wild looking field next door with pale grasses and LOADS of it. Luckily, Sam and her family trusted the process and just went with it - and I’m absolutely obsessed with the results! It helped that they all wore neutrals and similar tones too, which I always offer advice on before a shoot. Absolutely love me a field! 🌾

My campaign to open up the conversation between wedding photographers/videographers and church leaders hit BBC News today. More and more of my industry colleagues are flatly refusing to go anywhere near church weddings because *some* church leaders are aggressive, publicly rude and humiliating - with it also being really common where we’re only allowed to take one photo during a ceremony. I want to say to those church leaders: We come in peace. We also need to respect your words and ceremony, but couples now want in-depth coverage of their ceremony and we don’t want to be the ones to have to tell them they have one single image from church. Let’s work together to benefit our couples.

“BE A BIT SEXY BUT ALSO A BIT WEIRD” - They nailed this brief. Abbey and John’s wedding on Saturday was absolutely everything I’d ever want from my first wedding of the year AND MORE!!! Amazing crowd, gorgeous venue, insane vibes and all the love! I cannot wait to bring you more from this wedding once Abbey and John have had time to process their preview photos first! In the meantime, enjoy this sexy but weird shot of the Groom and his mates - and if you’re wondering, the Groom is the one lounging on the bench “like Rose from Titanic”. Bravo, John. Very very bravo.
