recently celebrated a major milestone—reaching 80,000 customers and wanted to mark the occasion with a company briefing and celebration event.

We took all 300 of them to in Belfast for a formal company briefing, followed by dinner and drinks, with a few surprises along the way!

April is Bowel Cancer Awareness Month and so an opportunity to remind every one of the signs and symptoms of bowel cancer.

Bowel cancer is the fourth most common cancer in the UK, with almost 43,000 people diagnosed every year.
It is the second biggest cancer killer in the UK.

Bowel cancer is treatable and curable especially if diagnosed early, but survival rates significantly drop if diagnosed at a later stage.

From the Causeway to the Cobbles!

When SD Create asked us to be part of an event to launch an exclusive edition of Bushmills Irish Whiskey on behalf of Proximo Spirits, we were so excited to be part of this monumental event.

Paying homage to Hill Street – once home to the Bushmills headquarters, and where The Friend at Hand today stands – this exclusive bottling celebrates the rich history of one of Belfast’s most iconic streets.

This project was an incredible collaboration between Bushmills, the Friend at Hand, and many more suppliers and partners who worked together to release this exclusive Bushmills Hill Street edition.

After a welcome cocktail in the Dark Horse, guests enjoyed a guided walking tour of Hill Street and the surrounding area, specifically designed for this event by Taste & Tour.
Guests were then invited to a special tasting with Bushmills Master Blender, Alex Thomas that explored the influence of Sherry wood – and time - on Bushmills Whiskey, before the unveiling and tasting of the Bushmills Hill Street Edition.

With food provided by Niall McKenna from Waterman and music from The String Ninjas the event was really one to be remembered.

The ACE team were delighted to have been invited to be part of the Catalyst NI Co Founders launch event, the Hot House in The MAC. The event was a dynamic and inspiring two-day program organised by programme manager Hannah Cummings, PhD, supported by Holly Clawson and Claire Kelly. The event, facilitated by The Brave Lab, brought together a diverse group of creative entrepreneurs eager to explore collaboration and innovation.

Despite facing challenges, including a last-minute venue change, the event proved to be a great success. The last-minute changes did not deter the enthusiasm of the facilitators and participants; instead, it added an element of adaptability and resourcefulness to the event. The flexibility displayed by everyone highlighted the entrepreneurial spirit that the Hot House aimed to cultivate.

Thanks to Catalyst for having us and to the team at the MAC and the guys at Forfey Ltd. for pulling together to make this event such a success.

Anna Connor Events are finishing off a busy Christmas Season with a tale of two events. Our client Viberoptix asked us to create two Christmas Party’s, one in NI and one in Penrith, Cumbria.

We had a great time today at the North Lakes Hotel & Spa in Penrith and then in The Glenavon Hotel in Cookstown. Both events looked the same so their colleagues across the whole company had the same Christmas Party and each enjoyed a party with a difference!

The ACE team had a fantastic time pulling together the Christmas Party and Colleague Awards Ceremony for Fibrus last week at the Crowne Plaza Belfast.

This isn’t something we do alone mind you; we couldn’t do what we do without our incredible suppliers. This party could not have been what is was without the amazing Rebelevents and Third Source .

With some help from Ibe Sesay, and The Big Kahuna Bandnabelfast, Fibrus were really able to celebrate in style!

The team were delighted to be working with our colleagues at MCE to officially open leading Belfast-based law firm, Tughans LLP new headquarters last night.

The recently completed Grade A office building, The Ewart is located at Bedford Square in Belfast, and spans approximately 23,000 sq. ft. across the 11th and 12th floors, boasting enviable panoramic views across the city.

Over 350 clients came along to tour the office space while enjoying some fantastic catering from James Street South Restaurant and Cookery School

Last week hit a major milestone. They reached their target of 250,000 premises passed.

They wanted to mark this significant occasion in style. Their brief for this event was lunch, then a full company briefing for 350 staff, followed by a huge celebration party.

22 suppliers worked hard with the ACE team to pull together the event of the year! It was an epic event and we all loved every minute of it.

4 years ago today I was diagnosed with stage 3 bowel cancer.

Knowing the signs of bowel cancer could save your life, and I’m never going to be finished telling people what they are. This is the reason why; diagnosed at stage 1, the 5 year survival rate is over 97% diagnosed at stage 4 and that reduces to 7%

The five red-flag symptoms of bowel cancer include:
* Bleeding from the back passage, or blood in your poo
* A change in your normal toilet habits - going more frequently for example
* Pain or a lump in your tummy
* Extreme tiredness
* Losing weight
