🐝Did you know, Larchfield Estate has a conservation area for the native Irish Honey Bee! As a ‘carbon negative’ events and accommodation destination, we are committed to sustainability and supporting the protection of our local environment and wildlife.

Our bee journey began around forty years ago when the Mackie family (owners at Larchfield) were gifted their first beehive. In 2007, the hives were moved to their current location, and local beekeeper Ken Baird kindly took on looking after the Larchfield estate bees!

Each year our honey is spun and jarred, and is now available for guests to purchase from The Old Piggery, a lovely memento to take home to remember their time with us! 🍯

A little throwback to a video we created with one of our amazing couples, Sarah & Kevin. They got married with us a few years ago, and returned for an overnight stay in Rose Cottage to celebrate Kevin's 40th! It was so lovely to reminisce with them about their Larchfield Estate experience, from the moment they arrived for their viewing, through to the wedding and even after. We also asked them for their top tips for any couples getting married - keep listening for Kevin's advice at the end, we absolutely love it!!! 'The sincerity and the genuine enthusiasm from the minute that we arrived was really what sold it to us'...
