Are you passionate about discipling young people in their faith journey and inspiring them to discover their potential in Christ? We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Youth Ministry Co-Ordinator to lead and grow our youth ministry at Lisburn Cathedral and South Lisburn Community Church.

Throughout January we are promoting our 'Home Group' ministry. We are passionate about making disciples and equipping believers to follow Jesus and live out their faith in their everyday context.

We believe that gathering together in 'Home Groups' is one of the most effective ways of growing in our faith and so our new vision statement for Home Groups promotes what they are about:

Growing in our hunger to know God - Father, Son and Holy Spirit, by learning to pray and study his word both individually and as a group.

Growing in our passion to serve him by discovering our God given gifts, recognising that as Christians we are called to serve both his Church and those around us and being empowered to do this.

Growing in our boldness to share him by together developing a confidence and ability to articulate our faith and share it with others.

There will be opportunity from this Sunday to sign up to a home group for this new season. Home groups meet fortnightly, roughly six times a term, on various times throughout the week.

If your not already a member of a home group we would really encourage you to prayerfully consider signing up to a home group this term as a way of growing deeper in your faith. Get in touch if you would like any more information.

We had a great time at our nativity on Sunday with everyone getting involved and dressing up!

We’re excited to host a performance of Handel’s Messiah by the Merry Opera Company on Saturday evening at 7.30pm. Check out the video! There are still tickets available from the Merry Opera Company website

"Connor Big Sing" at Lisburn Cathedral on Sunday 22nd September with training from 2.30pm and a "Connor Big Sing" Celebration Service at 7pm. We invite all singers and musicians to sign up for training by this Sunday 15th September at www.lisburncathedral.org/bigsing24 The Evening Celebration Service is open for everyone to come for a great evening of worship and praise. To further inspire your participation we asked some singers and musicians these questions: "What does worship mean to you?" and "Who do you worship?" You can hear their inspirational answers in this video

The Connor Big Sing is returning to Lisburn Cathedral on Sunday 22nd of September from 2:30pm. The afternoon will include workshops and rehearsals for musicians and singers. Please book as soon as possible and recordings and sheet music will be sent to help you prepare. Sign up link: https://lisburncathedral.org/bigsing24/ Then at 7pm, the Connor Big Sing Celebration Service is a great opportunity to bring everyone together to praise God in an inspiring act of worship. Please come along and enjoy and be blessed by this celebration of contemporary Christian music.
