The approval of the Hillhall Community Hall is truly brilliant news. We have worked in partnership with Resurgam Trust for many years to reach this outcome to benefit the local community. The assistance of Councillors Andrew Gowan and Paul Porter has been invaluable in reaching this important milestone. Congratulations to Adie Bird and the staff at Resurgam Trust and to Rev Pete Meenagh and his leadership team in South Lisburn Community Church for their pioneering work in developing this project.

✅ Hillhall Community Centre – It’s Happening!

Fantastic news that planning permission has now been granted for the new Hillhall Community Centre!

With hundreds of thousands of pounds already secured, this long-awaited project is now set to become a reality.

Well done to the Hillhall Regeneration Group and Lisburn Cathedral for their vision and commitment to this project, and to the Resurgam Trust for their support.

I’ve been pleased to help move this forward and want to thank my colleague Alderman Paul Porter for his invaluable input. Looking forward to seeing work start as soon as possible!
