Our 2015 Colts played their first game in the LCJL against Castlewellan Forest.

We had a bunch of super excited boys as they played under the lights of Colin Glen dome.

Their pre match nerves settled fairly quickly after the first whistle was blown.

From the very start of the game our boys started strong putting lots of pressure on our opponents with Mason putting us in the lead with a nice low ball in the net.

In the second period we had Hasan and Ethan take over the midfield. Who started well and made some great tackles and passes.
Another goal for us this time by Lucas which kept us comfortable.

Our defence did amazing today with our keeper being untested for the whole game.

Hasan got a goal for us in the 3rd period finishing the game for us with a strong win.

Lots to take away and practice for next week.

Great to be in the win column for our first game.

Today our 2019 boys played against Glendowan Colts. Week on week the boys are showing great progression and going from strength to strength in every training session and matches that we play. From the beginning of the match the boys took great control of the game showing great movement and passing throughout resulting in the other team being pushed back toward their own goal for most of the match. What a great performance from all players today.

The Lisburn Rangers Youth 2012s played their third 11 aside match of 2025 this morning against Annalong 2012s.

The lads started well and battled hard from the off. They were into the game but soon Annalong took control and we lost a few goals but the rest of the half the boys battled hard and were unfortunate to not peg back Annalong before halftime.

Second half again the boys were on the front foot but the ball just wouldn't fall kindly for us in front of goal.
As the half wore on we faded and lost another few goals but still kept pushing forward. We finally got on the score sheet with a good goal from Kia into the top corner but it was the only chance we managed to take.
At the back defence was busy and Elliot kept us in the game a few times including a great save when facing a penalty kick. ultimately we could not find that 2nd goal that would have pushed us on.

Another learning experience for the boys.
We move onto the next one 💪

17s match report

Today we faced a barn side who are unbeaten all season. After a steady start we fell behind with an unfortunate mistake at the back. We then came back into the game with some great passing in midfield and were unlucky not to get a penalty when Ben was brought down and another good shot from Josh just going over. Another lack of communication and we were 2 nil down at the break.

2nd half was quite even and the more the game progressed the more we looked like scoring.
A few good efforts down the left from max and a good solo effort from Eoughan rua were unlucky.
All in all I’m very pleased today and a few shoutouts.

Thanks to Jono for helping out with both games and also Dan who looked very uncomfortable in nets but done rightly 👏👏

Josh smyth for his passing in midfield and great to see the work Tyler was doing today on the right - by far his best game yet in the blue and yellow shirt. Well done everyone 💙⚽️👏

2011 Youth headed to the new 4G at Malone College this morning for a repeat of their recent cup final against Glendowan.

It was always going to be a close game, as the teams are evenly matched.

With the pitch being very short, the game was end to end for the entire match. Lisburn Rangers opened the scoring from a corner when JackB was on hand with a nice finish.
The boys were playing some great football but it was Glendowan who created two well worked goals before half time.

2nd half was more of the same, with Lisburn Rangers having most of the possession and chances but the Glendowan backline was solid.
The boys kept pushing for more goals to get back in the game and were rewarded with a fine finish by Noah.

Unfortunately, it wasn't to be today, but the result doesn't show just how well the boys kept and moved the ball.

We dust off, head high and get back to it on Monday night.

2014 Youth faced a brilliant North End United side today at Belvoir.

Northend took a lead after not many chances created from both sides, trailing our boys at half time.

Second half opened up better for both sides, creating a much more exciting game for the neutral.

The match slowly started to drift away as Northend took a 2-0 lead, but thanks to our spirit and hard work we came back in some response.

2 fantastic team goals scored by Ryan, particularly the second goal was the perfect counter attack example after a thunderous delivery from Lennon found Ryan at the back post.

Early morning start for the 2013 Youth and a top of the table clash against a strong Warrenpoint side. A game of end to end football with both teams playing good football and scoring great goals. We stuck to our previous game plan and it paid off. At one end a number of crucial saves from Alexander kept us in the game and the other end seen us create chances but unfortunately couldn’t find the winning goal. A display that deserved a win but a well earned point was taken from the game. Keep up the good work 💪🏻

Tonight our 2013 colts played a very good Annagh youth team. Right from the off we could tell it was going to be a tough night but the score line did not reflect on how well our kids battled, defended & played.

Second half our determination to talk & work that little bit harder showed throughout the whole squad of 12 players which again as coaches that's all we ask for.

We win, lose & draw as a team.

2016 youth played our first game in our new league. Team were all full of nerves with the induction of a referee, throw in’s & 7 aside under the lights against Colin valley. The boys & girls tried but all agreed they can do better which we know they can.
They were very subdued but all enjoyed their first taste of their new surroundings.

The 2015 Youth team played in the dome tonight against Glendowan. It was a great competitive physical game.

We took the lead early on through a well taken goal by Calum and we had more chances to extend the lead and were unlucky with our efforts.

Joshua who led the line well extended our lead with 2 well taken goals .

Our defending was great in particular Theo and Ethan McK

POTM went to Jakey who made some great saves and his distribution was brilliant

2013 Jets took a different approach tonight. POTM Ollie showed confidence in every action and position. Dylan found the net for the first time this season from an assist by Nicholas's hard work.

Our 2011 Youth travelled to Kilkeel this morning to take on Valley Rangers at their impressive new 4G pitch.

Due to some unexpected traffic delays and horrible weather, the boys started the game with 9 players and no goalkeeper, but they weren't fazed and settled straight away.
It wasn't long before the squad arrived, and they soon took over control of the game, playing some lovely football.
Mason was on the scoresheet early, scoring of a well placed corner. JackG continued his impressive form with an excellent finish over the keeper.
The boys kicked on in the 2nd half with Jude scoring with two fantastic strikes, and Riley showed real striker instinct with a further two, including a delightful first touch finish over the keeper.

Noah was in fine form all game as he was opening holes over the final third for the team to take advantage. 💪🏼

Big shout to James, who stood in at Goalkeeper and didn't put a foot wrong 👏🏼

It was a great footballing performance from every boy, especially in the rain and cold.

Today our 2019 team played Chimney Corner Colts - H’boro Colts. The first match lasted for 15 minutes and the boys were constrained to their own end of the pitch with a very experienced Chimney Corner pushing the ball forward. The boys were tremendous with their effort and teamwork, working together to move the ball up the pitch, absolutely fantastic effort given we only had 3 players available.

Our second match against H’boro Colts saw our boys regroup, with some great movement, passing and again, super teamwork.

Well done boys, super effort.

2011 Colts played against Warrenpoint today.

A day not many of us were looking forward too lol, not only a drive to the other side of the country but the fact we were going down to play a very good side in horrible weather conditions. We knew this was always gona be a tough day out!

These boys done themselves proud today. Not our greatest performance and still battled hard to get the win.

Man of the match was Robin. He covered every blade of grass on the field and got his reward with a goal.

Also a mention for safe hands James in nets. Great game today mate👏
