Good Evening just wanting to share the past 36 hrs with you..well I think the pictures should just sum it up... but I will give you little more info!!
Starting off from Liskeard Train station at 9.45 and catching the train to London as myself...and plus '1' (Martin) were invited by the British Watch & Clock Makers Guild to attend No;11 Downing Street for a presentation about the 'Celebration of John Harrison and the Quest for Longitude at Sea'
we arrived in London and stayed at the Great Scotland Yard Hotel and served a wonderful afternoon Tea.. just to start the evening off!! we then had to go through security for 6pm which then took quite some time with all the checks that had to be carried out.. but once in we had an amazing evening.. the Guild put on a wonderful presentation and we were also able to see the masterpiece which Harrison invented and also some of the other work which was on show in No.11. Downing Streets State Room.. we met some wonderful Watch & Clock Makers in the trade served some wonderful canapés and drinks throughout out the evening..The speeches were carried out by Jonathan Betts & Andrew King.. it was such an informative evening of which I will never forget... Wonderful experience.. On arrival and after the Presentation we were able to take photos which I hope you enjoy looking at..
