GVEC We organise events for Greatham Village and the surrounding area. The committee and all helpers are volunteers.

We are a non profit making group of volunteers who aim to bring the community together at least once a year to have some fun! GVEC was formed in 2003 by a group of villagers from Greatham, Hampshire, with the sole purpose of organising events for the residents of the village and the surrounding area. GVEC does not aim to make a profit, but use any profits from one event to subsidise other events.

GVEC organises many regular events within Greatham including the village fun day, summer ball, fireworks party and the children's Christmas party.

A few reminders for the day....
Parking is available at The Primary School or in the field just south of the Hall. Disabled parking only at the Hall.
Please feel free to bring picnics but no glass. We would appreciate you taking all litter away with you or using the bins provided.
Corkage will be charged on any alcohol you bring - on average we ask for £3 per bottle. Please remember the bar is the only way we can cover the costs and bring you more lovely events.
To beat the queues buy your tickets in advance at:
https://www.ticketsource.co.uk/whats-on?q=G-Fest
But tickets will also be available on the gate. We prefer cash but a ticket machine is also available.
Dogs are welcome as long as they are kept on a lead.
The GVEC team will be on hand to answer any of your questions. Above all we hope you have a great time and please post your pictures here after the event.

Find out what’s on near you. Discover great events, from theatre, festivals, gigs, comedy, sport and more. Use our easy-to-use event search to find lineups, venue details, entry times and purchase tickets.

Don't miss Flash: A Tribute to QUEEN headlining at G-Fest 2022 at 2.30pm.

Gates open at noon so arrive early to bag a great spot for this amazing act.

The BBC said "As close as it gets".

Flash: A Tribute to QUEEN, established in 2001, brought together the finest musicians from several QUEEN Tribute shows to form a ‘best of the best’ live tribute to the musical legacy of Freddie Mercury and QUEEN. Every member of the group has been creatively and technically inspired by QUEEN, each using replica equipment, adding that extra sound characteristic and obvious visual treat to the decerning fan. They take great satisfaction and pride in producing a show that, performed in authentic costumes, brings back all the magic that made every QUEEN concert so incredibly special.

The show will be a non-stop jukebox of the very best of QUEEN, hit after hit, anthem after anthem, “guaranteed to blow your mind”, with audience participation at a high from the very start.

G-Fest 2022 starts at noon Saturday 4 June.

You will appreciate that it has cost thousands of pounds to stage G-Fest 2022.

We have deliberately kept the entrance charge low (£5 per person – those aged 10 years and under free).

To help balance the books, we rely on making some income from food and drink sales.

We acknowledge that guests may prefer to bring some food and drink of their own. If you do bring your own drink, we would appreciate you gifting a corkage fee at the gate based on the following guide: -

* “Bottles” of alcohol (non-glass containers please) - £2 per “bottle”
* Cans of alcohol – 50p per can

The fee is not intended to discourage guests from Bringing Their Own and will help fund the overall cost of this not-for-profit, community event.

PLEASE GIVE WILLINGLY AND GENEROUSLY IN CASH WHEN ENTERING THE FESTIVAL.

Thank you

£50 vouchers will be awarded to those judged to be the best dressed adult; child; or dog so let your imagination run wild.
