Hey… happy Friday… it’s me Jo!

So next week is my annual buying trip to in Harrogate.

This is when us bridal boutique owners go & meet our current & potential new designers & choose our dress Collection for Spring/ Summer 25 (& drink Prosecco!🤭)

It is really exciting & one of the best parts of the job, but believe me it’s really hard work too! There are so many stunning dresses to choose from & hundreds of designers, that it’s exhausting trying to choose… honestly! 😄

So what are my criteria…

🤍 I look at what styles brides have loved this year & maybe get the latest version of that style
🤍 I look at the latest catwalk trends to see if there’s any styles that we’re missing or I think would work well
🤍 I think about our ideal brides, does it fit our brand
🤍 I consider what brides have been looking for that we may not have
🤍 I make sure that the price point is right for our brides
🤍 if I’m looking for a new designer, I make sure that their customer service is in alignment with ours
🤍 I throw in a wild card as I always want to offer our brides something new & different

TRUE STORY… I 💯love what I do.

I’ll never put any pressure on you to say yes. I’ll always give you the time and space that you need to make absolutely sure it’s the one.. & do you know what? I don’t need to pressure you, because you’ll know yourself when it’s your dress, even if you do need a day or two to reflect. Don’t be pressured into saying yes if you’re just not feeling it..

That’s also why I offer a retry appointment so that you can go away, reflect on your appointment, look at the pictures & then come back in to say yes when you’re ready!

& even if you don’t say yes.. I’ll make sure that you know exactly what styles, fabrics & shapes are best for you when you leave.

You don’t have to have experience but you MUST
⭐️ be passionate about fashion or bridal
⭐️ be amazing at customer service & love helping people
⭐️ be on up to date with social media trends
⭐️ be able to work weekends and evenings
⭐️ be fit enough to be on your feet all day & lift heavy dresses

This role will initially be for 10hours per week but may lead to more. Salary will depend on experience.

I don’t know who nominated us for this award but honestly I can’t thank you enough..

It’s been such a rollercoaster few years for any small independent business, but awards like this make me reflect on how amazing it’s been too & make it all worthwhile.

I love every minute of helping brides on their wedding dress journey & finding the one that’s just perfect for them!

Honestly thank you to each and every one of you for making my dream boutique come true!

We love it when our brides and their guests say how much they love our collection as I never choose a gown just because… I always have our ideal bride in mind, in terms of her style & budget & obviously I have to love them too 🥰

We have about 100 dresses for you to choose from, so plenty of choice without being overwhelmed. We’re always refreshing our collection too so there’s always something new for you to try & I always want to make sure that we have something a bit different.
