Friday I spent teaching cookery with 17 talented young people at Woodlands Community Centre. Students made pizza dough, tomato ragu, Mediterranean vegetable pasta bake, flat bread which they topped with Nutella and lots of fresh fruit. Amazing kids, absolutely love my job 🙌🏽 Back there again in a couple of weeks running a family cookery class. Big thank you to the awesome Woodlands team ❤️🙌🏽
Wow what a fantastic evening yesterday filming a pod cast with Fortune Favours Productions and catching up with one of my favourite youth centres @unity_toxteth. Abraham from Yamm Tree with such amazing food knowledge think I must of asked a million and one questions. His date brownie was out of this world . We had our young chefs all with a passion for wellness inside and out. We discussed how they got started on their food wellness journey, how eating well affects your mental health and lots more. A magical evening with amazing people . 2023 was a fantastic year 87 cookery classes = 600 + meals 6 cookery demonstrations feeding approximately 255 people Free Community Eurovision event for 251 people Four awards from High Sheriff of Merseyside BBC Make a Difference Award, Armed Forces Covenant Gold Award and The Good Small Business Award 80 hours voluntary work from litter picking to fundraising.
