Change is long overdue in our health systems in a few areas. One key area is access and utilisation by black people and people of colour.

A study by the NHS in 2019 found that ethnic minority groups, including black individuals, were more likely to report difficulties accessing healthcare services.

We need to be part of the conversation, help develop solutions and encourage accountability if we truly want to create better health outcomes for our communities.

I encourage you all to share and please do all you can to attend this event. We truly need your input.

I’m honoured to be on the panel with some truly brilliant people.

Share, click the link and see you on Sunday.

Thank you in advance. 💙

We are proud to present a unique event which will explore specific challenges around equity in health within Black communities, the extraordinary people who have been involved in effecting change, and next steps.

Beautiful people! I’m delighted to share that I’ve been cast in the upcoming Amazon series adaptation of Neil Gaiman’s ‘Anansi🕷Boys’ 👏🏾🤩.

I’m making my debut ‘acting’ appearance with a cameo feature in this six-part series which features an amazing cast including Whoopi Goldberg, Malachi Kirby, Delroy Lindo, Cecilia Noble, Don Gilet, Hakeem Kae-Kazim, Emmanuel Ighodaro and Fiona Shaw 🙉. I’m really looking forward to its release.

"We want to make 2022 a really special year for Africa Oyé. Not only are we returning after two years without a festival, the year also marks our 30th anniversary and we have a programme of multi-arts events under the 'Oyé 30' banner; working with organisations and partners that we've had the pleasure of collaborating with these past three decades.

We've had so many lovely messages of support during the pandemic, and our audience have been supporting us by buying merchandise and donating via our website to help keep Oyé free. We know how much the festival was missed over the last two years and we can't wait to be back." - Paul Duhaney, Africa Oyé's Artistic Director
